摘要： Disclosed herein is a signal processing apparatus and method based on multiple textures using video audio excitation signals. For this, an input signal that includes a video signal and an audio signal is divided into unit component signals, and one is selected from a plurality of frames of each unit component signal as a seed signal. A plurality of texture points are detected from the seed signal. The texture points are tracked from the frames of the unit component signal and then spatio-temporal location transform variables for the texture points are calculated. Texture signals are defined using texture points at which the spatio-temporal location transform variables correspond to one another. Each of the texture signals is defined as a sum of a plurality of texture blocks that are outputs of texture synthesis filters that receive video audio excitation signals as inputs.

An image forming apparatus so configured comprises a fixing unit, a cooling fan for cooling the fixing unit, a detecting sensor for measuring ambient temperature and humidity of the image forming apparatus, and a controller for recognizing ambient temperature and humidity change from the measurement provided by the detecting sensor. The controller controls operation of the cooling fan according to the temperature and humidity change detected. The controller delays operation of the cooling fan by an amount of time if the ambient temperature and/or humidity is below a reference temperature and humidity level.

The sum of the bit rates of all the multiplexed video programs is constant, but each of the video programs allows for a variable bit rate (VBR) by synchronously controlling each of a video encoders by means of the central controller, thereby maintaining a relatively uniform picture quality within one picture.

The method and apparatus provide a clear image by enhancing visibility fast with respect to a smog/low-light-level image, of which visibility is low due to impurities in the air. The apparatus includes: an inversion input unit; a lowest brightness image conversion unit; an atmospheric brightness value calculation unit; a transmission rate LUT calculation unit; a low-pass filter processing unit; a transmission rate allocation unit; a restored-image generation unit; and an inversion output unit. According to the present invention, the method and apparatus for rapid improvement of a smog/low-light-level image using the mapping table enable an embedded processor to operate in real time due to an extremely small amount of computation compared to the conventional technique.
