Abstract:
A brake apparatus for a bicycle includes a finger member; a first am comprising a cable adjuster with a brake cable securely passing through, and a first brake pad; a first pivot for pivotably securing the first arm and one end of the finger member to a frame of the bicycle; a pivot member pivotably secured to the other end of the finger member and comprising a second brake pad and a bifurcation; a second arm having an extension proximate to one end and the other end secured to one end of the brake cable; a second pivot for pivotably securing the bifurcation and one end of the second arm and together; a spring depressible cam lever pivotably mounted in the bifurcation, the cam lever being pressed by the extending end of the second arm and comprising an actuation projection; and a fastener adjacent the cam lever.
Abstract:
A quick-release device of a bicycle brake cable includes a main frame mounted to a handlebar of the bicycle, a lever pivotally mounted to the main frame and a push device mounted in the main frame to normally push the lever for selective changing the position between the lever and the push device and the tension of the brake cable.
Abstract:
A brake operating device for a bicycle comprising a housing on a handlebar, the housing comprising a recess on a mouth; a spring biased brake lever rotatably mounted on the housing; a brake cable having one end connected to a cable connector of the brake lever; and a spring biased stop member pivotably sitting upon the brake lever to urge against the recess. Pressing the stop member to disengage the stop member from the recess and counterclockwise pivoting the brake lever will loosen the brake cable. Thereafter, a tire replacement is made easy.
Abstract:
A caliper brake of a bicycle includes a first arm; a cable housing disposed at one end of the first arm; a second arm pivotably secured to the first arm and comprising a yoke at one end, the yoke including two opposite yoke arms; a brake cable retaining member for retaining a brake cable passing the cable housing; a pawl pivotably disposed between the yoke arms and secured to the brake cable retaining member, the pawl including a tooth; and a spring depressible ratchet including a hook at one end, the ratchet being pivotably disposed between the yoke arms to have the hook to engage with the tooth so that the ratchet is held against rotation to hold the brake cable tight. Counterclockwise rotating the ratchet to disengage the hook from the tooth and clockwise rotating the pawl will loosen the brake cable.
Abstract:
A quick-release device of a bicycle brake cable includes a brake arm mounted on a frame of the bicycle, a guider selectively slidably mounted on a free end of the brake arm and a safe lever pivotally mounted in the brake arm. The brake arm includes a groove defined along an axis thereof. The guider is hollow to allow the brake cable extending therethrough. The safe lever includes a pivot point that divides the safe lever into a press portion and a stop portion extending toward the guider to prevent the guider from an accidental operation due to an improper force.
Abstract:
A bicycle brake pad holder includes a hollow fastening rod comprising a head, a concave surface on the head, and an annular flange on the concave surface; a brake pad mount including a slotted channel, a convex receptor opposite the channel, a hole through the convex receptor, and a nut disposed in the hole, the nut having a projection projecting out of the hole; a brake pad removably mounted on the channel; and a bolt driven into the fastening rod to secure to the nut with the receptor urged against the concave surface and the flange put on the projection. Loosening the bolt will disengage the receptor from the concave surface to allow the receptor to move vertically and transversely relative to the flange. Hence, a fine adjustment of a distance between the brake pad and a wheel rim is effected.
Abstract:
A quick-release device of a bicycle brake cable includes a main frame mounted to a handlebar of the bicycle, a lever pivotally mounted to the main frame and a push device mounted in the main frame to normally push the lever for selective changing the position between the lever and the push device and the tension of the brake cable.
Abstract:
A pumping device for a brake device of a bicycle includes a tunnel and a main cylinder directly and respectively disposed in a distal portion of a handlebar of the bicycle. The tunnel is provided to contain oil and the main cylinder is connected to the brake device. The tunnel and the main cylinder communicate with each other via a first hole and a second hole that are respectively defined in the distal portion of the handlebar of the bicycle. A pair of ears extends from a distal end of the handlebar and a lever pivotally connected to the pair of the ears for operating the main cylinder.
Abstract:
An embedding typed handbrake operating device is disclosed herein, which mainly contains a positioning seat to which an operating lever is pin-joined. A stopping ring, a spring, and a locking seat are sequentially joined to the positioning seat through a locking bolt. The brake sleeve of a brake cable is threaded into the tubular body of the end section of the handlebar via a cable entrance hole and then into the locking seat. A brake wire is threaded through the operating lever, an axial through hole of the locking bolt, and into the brake sleeve connected to the locking seat, and finally to the handbrake assembly.
Abstract:
A bike brake clamp to provide safe and effective braking including a first brake arm, a second brake arm, a joint plate, and a pilot plate adapted with spring, central screw, cable screw, and pivot screw; both brake arms providing synchronous clamping via the pilot plate to correct the application of brake force on single side of the rim; a moment (longer than that of the prior art) between an adjustment screw at the point where brake force is applied and the central screw at the support being used to achieve better mechanical benefits.
