Abstract:
A bicycle brake unit includes a first arm, a second arm and a connector, when the brake cable is pulled, the first and second cable connectors on the two arms are moved toward each other to pivot the first and second arms. The first rail on the first arm and the second rail on the second arm are moved relative to each other via the rotation of the pivot. The pivot is movable in the elongate slot in the connector which is pivotably connected to the first and second arms. The first and second arms are pivoted toward each other to brake the wheel by the brake pads on the two arms. The first and second arms apply even forces to the two brake pads.
Abstract:
A remote control for bicycle headlight and rear light is provided a dome including an opening; an actuation member including a resilient button disposed through the opening, and a flange extending outwardly from the button to engage an inner surface of the dome; a controller including a control unit, a switch on the control unit and engaging the button, and a transmitter within the control unit; a battery engaging the control unit; and a bracket including a clamp and a seat at one end of the clamp, the seat releasably secured to the dome together to receive the actuation member, the controller, and the battery. The bracket is mounted on a handlebar by threadedly securing the clamp to a brake lever. A pressing of the button electrically connects the battery to the control unit so as to activate the transmitter to send out an IR light pulse.
Abstract:
A brake apparatus for a racing bicycle includes a housing mounted on either handlebar and comprising an internal recess; a brake lever pivotably secured to the housing and having one end pivotably disposed in the recess; a spring depressible detent rod slidably disposed in the brake lever and comprising a head on an outer surface the brake lever, an annular flange, and an annular groove between the flange and the head; a brake cable having one end attached to the brake lever and the other end attached to a brake; and a locking member having one end urged against the flange. Pushing the head to cause one end the locking member to fall into the groove and cause one end of the brake lever to fall into the recess will loosen the brake cable.
Abstract:
A caliper brake of bicycle includes a yoke at one end of a second arm, the yoke comprising two yoke arms having a hole, and a spring depressible detent at one end; and a mechanism comprising a manipulation member disposed between the yoke arms and comprising a C-shaped element including outer teeth and an inner protrusion, and a handle; a brake cable retaining member; a cylinder secured to the brake cable retaining member and comprising outer recesses and an eccentric tunnel. The protrusion is engaged with one recess. The cylindrical member is fitted in the tunnel. The detent is urged against one tooth. A brake cable is held tight. In response to counterclockwise rotating the handle the tunnel moves upward and both the detent moves to another tooth and the protrusion moves to another recess so as to loosen the brake cable.
Abstract:
A front brake of a racing bicycle includes a first half part threadedly secured to a fork and comprising an upper first bifurcated member adapted to lockingly secure to a brake cable, an intermediate first through hole, a first brake pad mount releasably secured to the first through hole, and a first brake pad secured to the first brake pad mount; and a second half part threadedly secured to the fork and comprising an upper second bifurcated member adapted to lockingly secure to the brake cable, an intermediate second through hole, a second brake pad mount releasably secured to the second through hole, and a second brake pad secured to the second brake pad mount. The front brake is disposed behind the fork with no projecting lateral portions.
Abstract:
In on embodiment, a brake system of bicycle including left and right brake levers, front and rear wheels, a front disc brake, and a rear disc brake having a first unit and an independent second unit, the brake system includes a hydraulic line interconnected the right brake lever and the first unit; and a Y-shaped hydraulic line having a first branch connected to the left brake lever, a second branch connected to the front disc brake, and a third branch connected to the second unit. Pressing the right brake lever will actuate the first unit via the hydraulic line to brake the rear wheel, and pressing the left brake lever will actuate the front disc brake via the first and second branches to brake the front wheel and actuate the second unit via the first and third branches to brake the rear wheel respectively.
Abstract:
A position seat for a hydraulic brake device of a bicycle includes a position member mounted to a handlebar of the bicycle and a pumping member partially received in the position member. The pumping member is selectively rotatable relative to the position member. A semi-annular groove is defined in an outer periphery of the pumping member and a locking pin extends through the position member and partially received in the semi-annular groove to prevent the pumping member from detaching from the position portion before being positioned and limit a rotate range of the pumping member relative to the position member.
Abstract:
A device for tightening and loosening a bicycle's brake wire is provided, which is installed between a handbrake operating device and a handbrake assembly of the bicycle. The device is mainly composed by a knob structure, a seat structure, and a tubular element. The knob structure and seat structure are configured such that their total length changes as the knob structure is twisted, which in turn tightens or loosens the brake wire of the bicycle. The gap between the handbrake assembly's brake pads therefore could be narrowed for the handbrake's normal operation, or loosened for dismounting the bicycle's wheel quickly and conveniently.

Abstract:
A U-type bicycle handbrake assembly structure is provided so that the brake arms could be quickly and easily positioned. The invention cuts a planar surface on the fitting tube welded to the bicycle frame. The planar surface is parallel to the brake pad's contact surface to the wheel rim. The invention then configures a protruding plate on the adjusting seat along the adjusting seat's axial direction. When a brake arm is pin-joined to the fitting tube of the bicycle frame, the brake arm could be positioned quickly and easily by arranging the axial protruding plate of the adjusting seat to match against the planar surface of the fitting tube.
