Abstract: A diffuser having a pleated paper filter element within a closed body having only ingress and egress openings therein, an aerosol can containing a liquid under pressure, the liquid being a germicide, insecticide, deodorant, or the like and associated with the closed body. A nozzle associated with the aerosol can and operated by an operator is inserted into the closed body which is placed in position in an air circulating system whereby the contents of the aerosol can will be sprayed in the form of a fine mist or fog onto the filter element and where it will be diffused into the air circulating through the diffuser and carried into the system for distribution in a closed area.
