Abstract:
Alignment assembly is used to center a sample on a moving stage system. The alignment assembly includes a pair of slides stacked on a stage with linear perpendicular movement relative to each other, and at least one actuator that is preferably physically separate from the linear slides and stage. The actuator(s) repeatedly extend an actuator arm to move the linear slides, and retract the arm for subsequent movement of the stage during and after the process of centering the sample in two dimensions on the stage. Either the stage system rotates, or multiple actuators are placed to move the alignment system in perpendicular directions relative to the stage, by repeatedly contacting only the top linear slide.

A method for orchestrating various applications is described herein. A request to store a context information regarding a document may be received. An application in which the document is modified may be determined. The context information may be requested from the application. The context information may be stored. A request to recall the context information may be received. The context information may be displayed on a computer screen.
Abstract:
Described is an I/O driven, feedback based rate control mechanism that allows a transfer session to self-adjust its transfer rate in response to the speed of the storage device at the destination. The described system may operate at the application layer, which makes cross-platform deployment an easier task

Abstract:
Methods for enhancing e-mail messages to provide preview enhanced e-mail messages that allow e-mail senders to associate customized preview content related to an e-mail message, including graphical images, that can be viewed by recipients directly from an e-mail inbox listing without opening the e-mail message itself. The e-mail messages have associated preview instructions, and have a preview trigger that upon actuation opens a temporary preview window on the inbox view and displays the preview content in accordance with the preview instructions while the preview trigger is actuated. The invention is applicable to web-based e-mail systems as well as to POP-based and proprietary e-mail systems.
Abstract:
A double-cam fastener driving machine, including an energy storage unit; an impact unit for actuating the energy storage unit to store energy which can bear the energy released from the energy storage unit to drive the fastener into the workpiece; a rotating actuating unit; a pushing mechanism; a double-cam mechanism, comprising a first cam and a second cam which can be optionally engaged and disengaged, the first cam is connected to the rotating actuating unit and driven by the rotating actuating unit to rotate, the second cam is connected and linked with the pushing mechanism. The double-cam mechanism to implement engagement and disengagement of rotating actuating unit and pushing mechanism, and the impact unit is not disengaged from the pushing mechanism, so that the double-cam mechanism can be engaged correctly during quick release, normal nailing or nail jamming of impact unit.
