    Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, apparatus, and computer programs for adaptation layer enhancements in new radio (NR) integrated access and backhaul (IAB) networks. In one aspect, a method includes performing, by an adaptation layer of an IAB node of the IAB network, header compression on one or more headers of a packet for transmission in the IAB network; and transmitting the packet with the one or more compressed headers to a destination IAB node of the IAB network.

    Abstract: A network element for configuring a Remote Interference Monitoring Reference Signal (RIM-RS) is disclosed. The network element transmits RIM-RS resource configuration and Information of Things (IoT) measurement and reporting configuration information to a base station. The base station conducts the IoT measurement and ducting phenomenon detection according to the received configuration, and transmits the results to the network element. The base station determines the number of repetition and/or near-far indication based on the received information and transmits the number of repetition and near-far indication to the base station. The base station then transmits the RIM-RS according to the received repetition and near-far indication.

    Abstract: Described is an apparatus of a User Equipment (UE) operable to communicate with an Evolved Node-B (eNB) on a wireless network. The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry, a second circuitry, and a third circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to process a configuration transmission carrying a half-tone shifting indicator. The second circuitry may be operable to select one or more subcarrier frequencies for Uplink (UL) transmission based on the half-tone shifting indicator. The third circuitry may be operable to generate a UL transmission for the one or more subcarrier frequencies. The half-tone shifting indicator may have a first value indicating application of a half-subcarrier offset, and a second value indicating no application of the half-subcarrier offset.
