Abstract: A method includes receiving a request for a communication session from a user device, identifying a first resource from a plurality of resources, wherein the first resource is associated with a first service control layer for a radio access network and wherein the plurality of resources includes at least one virtual network function (VNF), identifying a second resource from the plurality of resources, wherein the second resource is associated with a second service control layer for LTE core functions, identifying a third resource from the plurality of resources, wherein the third resource is associated with a third service control layer for content delivery, allocating a virtual machine to be used to instantiate the at least one VNF, instantiating the at least one VNF and establishing the communication session by facilitating communications between the first service control layer, the second service control layer and the third service control layer.

Abstract: Diverting communication content directed to a wireless device based on a determined state of a display of the wireless device is presented herein. A method can include receiving state information representing a display state of a display of a wireless device; and in response to determining, based on the state information, that the display has been inactive for a defined period of time, redirecting communication content that has been directed to the wireless device to an intermediary device. In an example, the redirecting can include storing the communication content in the intermediary device as stored content, and in response to determining, based on the state information, that the display has been active, sending, via the intermediary device, the stored content directed to the wireless device.

Abstract: Systems and methods for cooperation among multiple drones include two or more drones in cooperation with each other, in which a first drone may provide data of interest, processing capabilities, or physical capabilities to a second drone requesting such data or capabilities. A method may include collecting, at the first drone, sensor data associated with a monitored object of interest, and receiving a request for sensor data from the second drone. The first drone may transmit an acceptance to the request, and reformat the sensor data by removing identifiable characteristics from the sensor data to create a result set of sensor data. The first drone may then transmit the result set of sensor data to the second drone.

Additional embodiments include service multiplexer communicatively coupling to nodes over a 5th Generation (5G) network according to the service portfolio. The 5G network includes a control plane and user plane. Also, embodiments include service multiplexer continuously connecting to the control plane. Further embodiments include receiving data from the sensors. Additional embodiments include service multiplexer determining that the received data is associated with the service portfolio. Also, embodiments include service multiplexer identifying one or more of the nodes according to the service portfolio and sending the received data to the one or more of the nodes over the user plane. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods for authenticating a user include monitoring a monitored space for a condition to provide an interaction between a drone and an individual. In response to the condition to provide the interaction between the drone and the individual being satisfied, the drone may obtain a first set of sensor data corresponding to the individual. The first set of sensor data may indicate that the individual requires a service that requires authentication of the individual as a user of the service and that the individual is unable to provide a primary authentication response. The drone may then obtain a second set of sensor data corresponding to the individual unable to provide the primary authentication response. The drone authentication system then determines, based on the second set of sensor data and identity data that the individual corresponds to identity data of a user of the service and performs the service.

Abstract: An edge device comprising access network discovery and selection function (ANDSF) features is disclosed. An edge device can be a device located at a logical edge of a wireless network. An edge ANDSF component can rank access network resources. The rank can be based on characteristics of an access network resource, a user profile, device resource demands, or a user behavior model. The user profile can comprise information facilitating pre-authentication of a device to an access network resource. Further, the user profile can be considered portable with regard to localized aspects of edge ANDSF components. The user profile provides improved ANDSF feature performance.

Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting a request for a network service between two network nodes and identifying a network path between the two network nodes, wherein the network path is realized by equipment performing a number of network functions. A first network function of the number of network functions is associated with a first number of redundant virtualized network resources performing at least a similar network function as the first network function. Usage metrics are determined corresponding to the first number of redundant virtualized network resources and a first virtualized network resource of the first number of redundant virtualized network resources is assigned to the network path based on the usage metrics to obtain a first assigned virtualized network resource. The network service is provided between the two network nodes using the first assigned virtualized network resource. Other embodiments are disclosed.
