摘要: A method for downloading a multimedia file from a server (101, 201, 300, 701) to a user device (100, 200, 400, 700), at least partly via a bandwidth limited connection (202, 702), a server and a user device adapted therefore. A user device, connected to a server selects a multimedia file to be downloaded via two bit streams. In the server the selected multimedia file is divided and coded into a first, low-quality part, and into a second, high-quality part (503). When certain conditions (505) set up for the first part are fulfilled, this part is streamed via a first bit stream (506), and when certain conditions set up for the second part are fulfilled, the second part is downloaded via a second bit stream (508). In the user device, the first part is received and reproduced (603b) as a limited version, available to be played-up in real time (604), while the second part is reproduced and combined with the first part (610, in order to yield the original multimedia file.

摘要: A method, apparatus, and system in an IP-based mobile communication network for actively probing a tunneled transmission path from a base station such as an eNB to a core network. A UE-emulator emulates a User Equipment (UE) and provides emulated NAS signaling to a Probe Connection Control (PCC) unit in the base station, which establishes the tunneled transmission path by forwarding the NAS signaling received from the emulator toward the core network. The PCC stores associated communication endpoints and UE-assigned IP addresses. A Probe Traffic Control (PTC) unit within the base station utilizes the stored endpoints and IP addresses to generate probe traffic through the tunneled transmission path toward a probe server or another base station configured as a probe reflector. The probe reflector collects and reports path properties such as packet loss, delay, jitter, and throughput.

摘要: A telecom node (210, 310) such as a base station is configured to detect events. A low priority event may not be serious enough on its own to raise an alarm to a network management system (220, 420) managing the telecom node (210, 310). However, the low priority event can collectively have a serious impact on the network performance if the event occurs over multiple nodes (210, 310) of the network (200). When a low priority event occurs over multiple nodes (210, 310), the telecom node (210, 310) notifies the network management system (220, 420) of the event by raising an alarm so that the situation can be addressed. In a partitioned network installation, not all neighboring nodes (210, 310) are managed by a same network management system (220, 420). When the alarm is raised to the network management system (220, 420), other network management systems (220, 420) managing the neighboring nodes (210, 310) are notified of the alarm by the network management system (220, 420).

摘要: The present invention relates to cellular communications and in particular to a frequency spectrum shared by two cellular networks. The object is flexible utilization of the spectrum. This is achieved by a method wherein a first of the networks occupies part of the shared spectrum in relation to the traffic load in the first network. The first network informs a second of the networks on the extent the shared spectrum is occupied, for the second network to be free to use the shared spectrum outside the occupied part. The invention also relates to a RRM unit arranged for carrying out the inventions, to a BSC and to a radio base station adapted for carrying out the method. One advantage is that spectrum can be lent from an old system when a new system is introduced.

摘要: The present invention is a method and system adapted to facilitate, between a mobile station (MS) and network, an indication of support for reduced time transmission interval (RTTI). The MS can provide a base station system (BSS) with an indication of its multislot capability within an access burst sent at the start of a contention based access. In another aspect, the MS can indicate support for a new Immediate Assignment message as the conventional Immediate Assignment message can only assign single timeslots. The present invention enables the Radio Access Network (RAN) to assign RTTI and more than one timeslot for GPRS/EDGE temporary block flows (TBFs) during an Access Grant Channel (AGCH) assignment. The method of the present invention can be implemented in a computer program product or distributed software adapted to be loaded into at least one or a plurality of memory locations and executed by at least one or a plurality of respective computer processors.

摘要: In a method for identifying objects in a digital image which is included in a sequence of images, luminance values of a current digital image are compared with at least one threshold value in order to create a current binarized image on the basis of the comparison. A quality measure for the current binarized image is also calculated, whereupon said at least one threshold value is updated on the basis of the quality measure for use in binarization of a subsequent image. The method can be realized in the form of a computer program, a computer program product, a device, and a hand-held apparatus for position determination.

摘要: A method is provided for decoding data stored in a partial area of a coding pattern on a surface, based on a recorded image of the partial area. The coding pattern contains elements which each have at least two possible decoding values. The method identifies in the image a plurality of elements. The method further calculates, for each identified element, an associated value probability for each possible decoding value that the element has this decoding value. Additionally, the method performs the decoding of data based on the decoding values and the corresponding value probabilities. A device and a memory medium storing a computer program with instructions for performing such a data decoding technique are also provided.

摘要: A method is performed in a network node of a mobile communication network, for determining a dropped connection to a mobile terminal. The method comprises: detecting a release of a radio bearer associated with the mobile terminal; determining whether the radio bearer is a real-time type radio bearer; when the radio bearer is a real-time type radio bearer, determining the released radio bearer to be a dropped connection when the release is classified as an involuntary release; and when the radio bearer differs from a real-time type radio bearer, determining the released radio bearer to be a dropped connection when there is remaining user data in a buffer for transfer in either direction over the released radio bearer. A corresponding network node, computer program and computer program product are also presented.
