摘要: A transmission signal containing signals of a plurality of frequency bands is divided and fed to a linear signal transfer path including a delay circuit and a plurality of distortion generation paths for the plurality of frequency bands. In each distortion generation path, the signal of the corresponding frequency band is extracted by a band signal extractor from the signal fed to the path, an odd-order distortion of the extracted signal is generated by an odd-order distortion generator, and the phase and amplitude of the odd-order distortion are adjusted by a vector adjuster to provide the output signal of the distortion generation path. The output signals from such plurality of distortion generation paths are combined by a combiner with the output from the linear signal transfer path to provide the combined output as the output from a multi-band predistorter using power series representation.

摘要: A mobile communication system includes a plurality of base stations in a communication service area connected to a packet communications network. A mobile station communicates with a second station through the plurality of base stations and the network. The mobile communication system determines a virtual base station group as an aggregation of the plurality of base stations communicating with the mobile station, based on a condition of a radio transmission path between the mobile station and each base station, and combines information received by the plurality of base stations that belong to the virtual base station group at a base station included in the virtual base station group. The network connects the plurality of base stations non-hierarchically and the base station transmits combined information to the second station through the network relative to combined packets having the second station as a destination.

摘要: A radio paging signal coding control scheme capable of improving the reception characteristic of the receiver by carrying out a coding control to determine logical channels for accommodating paging signals such that the transmission rate equivalently becomes as low as possible according to the paging signal traffic, without interrupting the paging signal coding processing while maintaining the combination of transmission rate and modulation scheme for frames, is disclosed. In the case of using prescribed transmission rate and N-valued modulation scheme, logical channels to be used for transmission of paging signals among a plurality of available logical channels are determined by setting priority orders among a plurality of available logical channels such that a number of states of modulated signals becomes less than N when paging signal traffic is small.

摘要: Battery saving is achieved by not receiving subframes which do not need to be received. Information regarding the time interval during which unnecessary subframes will be transmitted is inserted in a significant subframe which the base station transmits prior to this time interval, thereby notifying the radio paging receivers. The radio paging receivers detect these notification signals and stop receiving during the time interval when subframes which do not need to be received are transmitted.

摘要: A timeslot selection method is provided. The timeslot selection method includes the steps of: obtaining a propagation loss; receiving an occupation state and an interference amount of an uplink timeslot; obtaining a desired wave power from the propagation loss; obtaining a ratio between the desired wave power and the propagation loss for the uplink timeslot in which the occupation state is idle; and selecting the transmitting timeslot by using the ratio. In addition, a timeslot assignment method in which there are a plurality of TDD boundaries each of which is a boundary between at least an uplink timeslot and at least a downlink timeslot in a frame is provided. Furthermore, a timeslot assignment method is provided, in which assignment is carried out according to a service class included in a QoS request.

摘要: A packet transmission method in which packets are transmitted between a base station and a mobile station communicating with the base station includes the steps of: recognizing the size of each of the packets to be transmitted; determining a transmission rate for each packet in accordance with the recognized size of the packet; allocating a radio resource to the transmission of each packet between the base station and the mobile station based on the determined transmission rate; and transmitting each packet between the base station and the mobile station using the allocated radio resource. In the method, a modulation method or a radio resource used for transmitting the packets is determined by calculating a transmission rate in a wireless area according to the size of each packet and a transmission request in the wireless area. The transmission request is recognized by the base station from an upper network when the packets are transmitted downward, while calculated by the base station based on a user request and a transmission state of the upper network when the packets are transmitted upward. Therefore, end-to-end quality of service can be provided.

摘要: A digital predistorter compensates for nonlinear distortion of a power amplifier using a power series model. The digital predistorter includes a distortion generating unit configured to introduce a nonlinear distortion component of a prescribed order into a digital input signal supplied to the digital predistorter. The distortion generating unit has a multiplier configured to raise the digital input signal to a power consistent with the prescribed order of the nonlinear distortion component, and a finite impulse response filter connected in series with the multiplier. The digital predistorter also includes an adaptive controller configured to receive a reference signal and adaptively adjust the tap coefficient of the finite impulse response filter so as to bring the reference signal to a desired level.
