Abstract: A prosthesis and a method of manufacturing the prosthesis for controlling flow through a bodily lumen are provided. The prosthesis includes a body having a proximal portion, a distal portion and a lumen extending therethrough. The prosthesis also includes a valve operably connected to the body. The valve has a proximal portion, a distal portion and a lumen extending through the valve, where the valve lumen is connected to the body lumen. The valve is configured to be closed in the absence of an antegrade pressure and a retrograde pressure, the retrograde pressure being greater than the antegrade pressure. The valve includes a material portion operably connected to the valve, the material portion providing increased stiffness to the valve relative to the valve alone, wherein the material portion is configured to facilitate self-reversion of the valve to the closed configuration.

Abstract: A stent delivery system is provided that includes a self-expanding stent with a longitudinal length and a plurality of individual suture loops spaced along the longitudinal length of the stent, wherein the stent is compressed by the plurality of individual suture loops. The stent delivery system also includes a longitudinal pull member that secures the plurality of individual suture loops about the stent, wherein the plurality of individual suture loops are configured to separate from about the stent when the longitudinal pull wire is removed.

A first brake assembly is disposed within the handle assembly and a second brake assembly is disposed within the handle assembly proximal to the first brake assembly.

Abstract: A stent delivery system includes an elongate shaft including a proximal portion, a distal portion, at least one lumen extending at least partially therethrough, and a stent receiving portion on the distal portion of the elongate shaft. A stent is positioned on the stent receiving portion of the elongate shaft, the stent having a first configuration and a second configuration. A proximal constraining arrangement is engaged with a proximal end of the stent. A distal constraining arrangement is engaged with a distal end of the stent. The stent delivery system includes a handle assembly comprising a first shuttle operably connected to the proximal constraining arrangement and a second shuttle operably connected to the distal constraining arrangement. A brake assembly positioned is within the handle assembly, the proximal constraining arrangement being coupled to a portion of the brake assembly.

Abstract: A stent delivery system is provided that includes an inner elongate shaft with a lumen and an outer elongate shaft with a lumen, where the inner elongate shaft coaxially extends at least partially within the lumen of the outer elongate shaft. The stent delivery system also a pull member movably disposed along the the inner elongate shaft and first and second restraining members removably secured to the pull member. The stent delivery system also includes a self-expanding stent having an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration, where the first restraining member is secured to a first portion of the self-expanding stent and the second restraining member is secured to a second portion of the self-expanding stent, thereby securing the self-expanding stent about the outer elongate shaft. Movement of the inner and elongate shafts relative to each other in a first direction applies a tension to the first and second restraining members to move the self-expanding stent to the collapsed configuration.
