    摘要: Stable, carbene-functionalized composite materials and methods and uses thereof are provided. The carbene-functionalized composite materials comprise a material having a metal surface and a carbene layer that is uniform, contaminant-free (metal oxide, etc), and more stable than thiol-functionalized monolayers. Studies are described that demonstrate carbene as a coating on steel, as well as other metals. Studies are described that demonstrate carbene as a primer for a topcoat on steel.

    摘要: Methods for coating a working wire for a continuous biological sensor include providing a plurality of wires in a fixture and dipping the plurality of wires into a coating solution according to parameters for a dipping process. A plurality of diameters is measured along a length of at least two coated wires of the plurality of wires in the fixture, using an automated measurement system, as in an in-line process. A controller that is in communication with the automated measurement system determines a thickness difference, the thickness difference being a difference between a thickness setpoint and an aggregate criteria for the plurality of diameters. The controller calculates adjusted parameters for the dipping process based on the thickness difference.

    摘要: A method for coating a plurality of optical lenses having at least one main surface at least partly covered with lenslets, the method comprising: —dipping (DIP) at least one first optical lens from the plurality of optical lenses into a coating fluid, —withdrawing (WDW) the at least one first optical lens from the coating fluid at a controlled withdrawal speed, —measuring (MEAS) a thickness of a coating layer deposited on the at least one first optical lens, —determining (ADJ) an adjusted withdrawal speed based on the measured thickness, and —repeating the steps of dipping (DIP), withdrawing (WDW), measuring (MEAS) and determining (ADJ) on at least other optical lenses from the plurality of optical lenses, using the adjusted withdrawal speed during the withdrawing step (WDW).
