    摘要: A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel and an LCD device incorporating the same are provided. The LCD panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate and a liquid crystal layer. The second substrate disposed parallel to the first substrate includes a base, a picture element, a transparent electrode, several stack layers and several reflective electrodes. The picture element having a transmission region and a reflection region is disposed on the base. The transparent electrode having several electrode portions is disposed inside the picture element. The electrode portions are alternatedly disposed in the transmission region. The stack layers alternatedly disposed on part of the transparent electrode alternate with the electrode portions. The reflective electrodes are correspondingly disposed on the top surfaces of the stack layers, and are electrically connected to the transparent electrode. The liquid crystal molecules form several domains via the lateral inclined surfaces of the stack layers.

    摘要: A transflective LCD having a dual common-electrode structure has a front substrate, a liquid crystal layer and a rear substrate. The front substrate has multiple first and second common electrodes respectively connected to a first and a second contact pads. The first and second contact pads are respectively connected to two voltage sources to obtain different voltage. The rear substrate has multiple pixels, each has a reflective region and a transmission region. The reflective region is aligned to the first common electrode and the transmission region is aligned to the second common electrode. Since the voltages to the first and second common electrodes are different, the voltages of two liquid crystal capacitors corresponding to the reflective and transmission regions are also different. Therefore, the V-T curves of one pixel are adjustable to be close to each other by supplying different voltages to the first and second common electrodes.

    摘要: Two phase retardation compensation films with upper and lower slow axes being orthogonal to each other are used to clip a liquid crystal (LC) cell in a transflective liquid crystal display. In an orthogonal polarizer system, the axial difference between the slow axes of the retardation films and the LC molecules director in the LC cell is used to obtain the most suitable phase difference. The ON and OFF of the LC voltage are used to achieve the display function at the darkest state and the brightest state, so as to achieve a transmissive optical mode having low dispersion, wide viewing angle, and ultra-low dark state, without damaging the reflective mode.
