    摘要: The invention provides an autostereoscopic display device having an adjuster for adjusting the direction of a light beam (5). The adjuster (1) has an off-state and on-state and comprises a stack (10) of layers. The stack (10) comprises a first solid material layer (100) having a first optic axis (111), a second solid material layer (200) having a second optic axis (211), and switchable birefringent twisted nematic liquid crystal material (30) or chiral nematic liquid crystal material. Further, the stack includes a first interface (130) between the first solid material layer (100) and birefringent material (30) and a second interface (230) between the second solid material layer (200) and birefringent material (30). In the off-state, the birefringent material (30) at the first interface (130) is configured to have an optic axis parallel to the first optic axis (111) and the birefringent material (30) at the second interface (230) is configured to have an optic axis parallel to the second optic axis (211). In the on-state, the birefringent material (30) at the first interface (130) is configured to have an optic axis perpendicular to the first optic axis (111) and the birefringent material (30) at the second interface (230) is configured to have an optic axis perpendicular to the second optic axis (211).

    摘要: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal layer, a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate includes a light reflection type of first pixel electrode and a first alignment film. The second substrate includes a counter-electrode and a second alignment film. A first alignment treatment direction is inclined in a second direction of rotation at an angle of 110° to 130° with respect to in a second alignment treatment direction. A liquid crystal material is used which contains an optically active substance which gives liquid crystal molecules a twisting force from the second alignment film toward the first alignment film in the second direction of rotation.

    摘要: An optical fiber flexible multi-wavelength filter based on a polarization-diversity loop includes a pair of high-birefringence optical fibers, a polarization beam splitter connected to the pair of high-birefringence optical fibers and dividing light incident from a broadband light source into two polarized beams, and a polarization controller connected to the high-birefringence optical fibers or the polarization beam splitter and controlling the two polarized beams divided by the polarization beam splitter. The polarization controller includes a ½ wave plate or a ¼ wave plate, and the polarization controller disposed between the high-birefringence optical fibers controls an angle difference between principal axes of the high-birefringence optical fibers and visibility. Interference in the high-birefringence optical fibers is controlled via changing polarized light incident from the broadband light source using the polarization controller.
