    Abstract: Surfactants capable of releasing and/or dissolving polymers to form water-soluble or water-dispersible polymer solutions are disclosed. In addition, polymer compositions containing a water-in-oil emulsion comprising the surfactant are provided and can be used, for example, in methods of dissolving a polymer. Also disclosed are detergent compositions and methods of cleaning articles and/or membranes using the surfactants herein. These surfactants and polymer compositions can be used in various industries including for water clarification, papermaking, sewage and industrial water treatment, drilling mud stabilizers, and enhanced oil recovery.

    Abstract: Compounds, compositions and methods are provided for reducing, inhibiting, or preventing corrosion of a surface, using a polyester polyamine compound. The polyester polyamine compound having a structure corresponding to Formula 1 or 2, or a salt thereof: wherein R1 is independently alkylene; R2 is independently hydrogen or —COR4; R3 is independently alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, or alkaryl; R4 is independently alkyl or alkenyl; R10 and R11 are each independently hydrogen, alkyl, or alkaryl; m is an integer from 1 to 10; n is an integer from 3 to 10; and wherein at least one R2 is —COR4.

    Abstract: Stability enhancement agents for use in a solidification matrices and solid detergent compositions are described. Stability enhancement is provided by a hydratable salt, water and phosphonocarboxylic acid copolymers or phosphonopolyacrylic acid homopolymers binding agents forming a dimensionally stable composition. Preferred phosphonocarboxylic acid copolymers or phosphonopolyacrylic acid homopolymers have phosphono end groups and a molecular weight of between about 1,000 and about 30,000 grams/mole. The stability enhancement composition for use in a solid detergent and solid detergent compositions are preferably biodegradable and substantially free of phosphorus and NTA-free.
