Abstract:
This patent application relates to a composition capable of being applied to the skin and/or the mucosae, including a polymeric system which includes an aqueous dispersion of particles of film-forming polymer, the said polymeric system making it possible to obtain a supple and flexible film. The invention also relates to the use of such a polymeric system in such an, especially cosmetic, composition.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a gel containing an aqueous phase, a hydrophilic polymer as a gelling agent, a coloring material which is soluble or dispersible in the aqueous phase and at least one organopolysiloxane solubilized in the aqueous phase. This gel is usable in the cosmetics field for making up both the face and the human body.
Abstract:
Stable water-in-oil emulsion for cosmetic or pharmaceutical use. This emulsion comprises a fatty phase in a proportion of 15 to 40% consisting of at least one silicone in a proportion of 15 to 40% by weight relative to the total weight of the emulsion, and an aqueous phase containing at least one electrolyte-insensitive aqueous gelling agent, the emulsifying agent of the said emulsion being an alkyl- or alkoxydimethicone copolyol of general formula: ##STR1## in which: X is a hydrogen atom or a C.sub.1 -C.sub.16 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.16 alkoxy or C.sub.1 -C.sub.16 acyl,Y is a C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 alkyl or C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 alkoxy radical,n=0 to 200,m=1 to 40,q=1 to 100,the molecular weight of the residue (C.sub.2 H.sub.4 O--).sub.x (C.sub.3 H.sub.6 O--).sub.y --X being from 250 to 2000, and x and y being chosen in such a way that the weight ratio of oxyethylene to oxypropylene groups is between 100:0 and 20:80.Production of stable emulsions having excellent cosmetic properties.
Abstract:
Nongreasy, nonsticky cosmetic and/or dermatological compositions for topical application to human skin and/or hair, characteristically without imparting a shiny appearance thereto, contain at least one fatty substance and an amount of deformable hollow particulates effective to avoid the greasy and/or sticky feel otherwise attributable to the at least one fatty substance, said deformable hollow particulates comprising a copolymer of vinylidene chloride, acrylonitrile and a (meth)acrylic comonomer and having a particle size ranging from 1 .mu.m to 250 .mu.m.
Abstract:
An emulsion of an oily phase in a surfactant-free gelled aqueous phase containing expanded hollow thermoplastic particles of acrylonitrile polymer or copolymer. The particles ensure the dispersion of the oily phase in the gelled aqueous phase and are preferably particles of expanded copolymers of acrylonitrile and acrylic or styrene-based monomers and/or vinylidene chloride. The emulsion obtained can be employed, for example, for the care or cleansing of skin and/or hair or for use in a skin make-up. It can also form a dermatological product.
Abstract:
A cosmetic composition for skin consisting of an anhydrous powder and mainly including a solid particulate phase mixed with a fatty binder containing a silicone mixture which consists of (a) at least one silicone oil, (b) at least one silicone wax, (c) at least one silicone resin, (d) optionally at least one silicon gum, and (e) optionally at least one phenyldimethicone; wherein components (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) are present in the binder in concentrations of 12-98.9%, 1-60%, 0.1-25%, 0-3% and 0-20% by weight respectively in relation to the overall weight of the silicone mixture. The composition may be used as face make-up, as eye shadow or as a make-up foundation or powder.
Abstract:
The subject-matter of the present invention is a stable anhydrous composition for cosmetic or pharmaceutical use comprising at least one silicone oil and at least one pigment, wherein said composition further comprises at least one oxyalkylenated silicone substituted at the α and ω positions.
Abstract:
A transfer-resistant, mattifying composition comprising, as a thickener, particles of an at least partially crosslinked elastomeric solid organopolysiloxane in suspension in an aqueous phase. The composition is more particularly a composition for caring for or making up the lips, or a foundation composition for making up both the human face and the human body. The composition is soft and fresh on applications, spreads easily, is nonsticky, and does not dry out the skin or lips. It is perfectly suited to greasy skin because of its high mattifying power.
Abstract:
The invention relates to colored transparent or translucent cosmetic compositions exhibiting a turbidity of less than 800 NTU and comprising, in a transparent or translucent cosmetic base, an amount of less than 0.5% by weight, with respect to the final cosmetic composition, of at least one colored pigment which is insoluble in the cosmetic base and which has a mean particle size of greater than 100 nm.
Abstract:
The subject-matter of the present invention is a stable anhydrous composition for cosmetic or pharmaceutical use comprising at least one silicone oil and at least one pigment, wherein said composition further comprises at least one oxyalkylenated silicone substituted at the &agr; and &ohgr; positions.
