    Abstract: A method for personalized sharing of videos on a content sharing platform is disclosed. The method includes presenting, by a user device of a user of the content sharing platform, a user interface (UI) including a video and a UI share element allowing the user to share the video, in response to a selection of the UI share element by the user in the UI, transmitting a request to share the video to a server, and receiving, from the server, a subset of contacts of the user on the content sharing platform. The method further includes presenting, to the user, the subset of contacts of the user comprising a first contact of the plurality of contacts of the user and excluding a second contact of the plurality of contacts of the user, and allowing the user to share the video with the first contact from the subset of the plurality of contacts.

In some embodiments, the method comprises: causing an advertisement to be presented in connection with presentation of a video having content associated with an application, wherein the advertisement includes information indicating one or more virtual items associated with the application available for purchase; receiving a user input indicating a purchase of at least one of the one or more virtual items; causing payment information to be collected based on a user account associated with a request for presentation of the video to complete the purchase; and transmitting information indicating the completed purchase to an entity associated with the application.

    Abstract: A notifiable event pertaining to an interaction with a series of videos from a particular user may be detected. Another user who is associated with the particular user and who has stopped viewing the series of videos may be identified. The another user may be assigned an affinity score indicating a user interest to continue viewing the series of videos. A notification identifying the particular user and the notifiable event pertaining to the interaction with the series of videos by the particular user may generated where the notification includes a reference to a point in the series of videos that is associated with a portion of the series of videos at which the another user has stopped viewing the series of videos. Furthermore, the notification may be transmitted to the another user.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for adaptive presentation of a video content item based on an area of interest are provided. In some embodiments, the method comprises: causing a video content item to be presented within a viewport having first dimensions in connection with a web page, wherein the video content item is associated with area of interest information corresponding to one or more frames of the video content item; determining that the first dimensions associated with the viewport have changed in which the viewport is currently associated with second dimensions; determining that a modified video content item should be presented within the viewport having the second dimensions in response to determining that the first dimensions associated with the viewport have changed, wherein the modified video content item includes an area of interest based on the area of interest information associated with the video content item and wherein portions of at least one frame of the modified video content item are removed based on the second dimensions of the viewport; and causing the modified video content item to be presented within the viewport having the second dimensions.

One method includes receiving a first set of data packets indicating a command to navigate from a first resource to a second resource.     Abstract: Systems and methods for passing account authentication information via parameters. A server can provide, to a client device, an account parameter derived from an account credential used to authenticate a first application to insert into a link. The link can include an address referencing a second application. The account parameter can be passed from the first application to the second application responsive to an interaction on the link. The server can receive from the second application of the client device, subsequent to passing the account parameter from the first application to the second application, a request to authenticate the second application including the account parameter. The server can authenticate the client device for the second application using the account parameter.
