摘要： A casement operator for a window has a deployment linkage connectable between the window frame and the base and operable to cause movement of the window sash. A gear drive drives the deployment linkage, which coacts with a sash lock and a lock linkage having a window-actuated trigger. A plurality of rigid links are in pivotal engagement with the deployment linkage and in driving engagement with the gear drive, and a tie rod is disposed intermediate the rigid links and the sash lock. A trip lever with a trigger extending beyond the window frame is pivotally secured to the base and engageable with the lock linkage for restricting the movement of said lock linkage during a non-locking mode of operation of the operator. The deployment linkage includes a first element pivotally supporting one end of the window sash, a slider track along the window frame, a support link fixedly pivoted to the window sash on one end and to a second element on the other end, and a drive linkage having one end engaging the window sash and the other end drivably connected to the gear drive. The deployment linkage has the first element slidable in the slider track, the second element fixed relative to the window frame, and one end of the drive linkage fixed to the window sash and including a pivot intermediate its ends.

摘要： A window operator and hinge structure for a casement window which can be simply factory pre-set for positioning of a window in either egress or wash modes, with switching between modes requiring no additional parts or special tools. The structure has a pivoted handle movable between a closed, inactive position flush with a sill cover and rotatable to an inclined, active position. The handle, in its pivoting movement, operates window locking structure and also controls the action of a brake, with release of the brake by raising of the handle to operative position. Motion-transmitting connections between the handle and linkage structure include the brake as well as the clutch, with the clutch effective to limit the torque that can be applied to the linkage. The handle can be moved to closed, inactive position with the window open so that no handle protrudes and this movement of the handle sets the brake so that a wind cannot move the window.

摘要： A window hinge for mounting a window sash for pivotal movement between open and closed positions including a track mountable to window frame and a sash arm mountable to a window sash. The sash arm is supported for movement relative to the track by a plurality of links, with pivotal connections to the sash arm and to either the track or a shoe movable along the track. A cam surface on the sash arm coacts with a cam member on the track to assure pull-in of the sash arm when the window hinge moves to window-closed position. The cam surface has an apex which is offset relative to the center line of the sash arm and a pivot connection of a link to the sash arm is similarly offset whereby an inside edge of the sash arm is caused to align with an inside edge of the track when the window hinge is in window-closed position.

摘要： A casement window with a snubber assembly for maintaining the position of the window sash in the frame. The snubber assembly includes a pair of snubbers. Each snubber has a base portion and a hook-shaped flange extending from the base portion. One of the pair of snubbers is mounted to the frame and the other is mounted to the sash. The snubbers may be disposed such that when the sash is in the closed position, a contact surface of each snubber engages an interface surface of the other snubber. The hook-shaped flanges of the snubbers are adapted for releasable engagement when negative pressure is applied to the window sash.

The operator arm subassembly may include at least one operator arm pivotally disposed in the housing via a flanged bearing. The operator arm may define a gear. If a plurality of operator arms are present, a sun gear may be used. The flanged bearing properly aligns the components to reduce stresses encountered during use. The flanged bearing may have a base portion, a middle portion, and an upper portion in a stepped configuration. The base may engage the base of the housing. The upper portion of the bearing may engage a cover of the housing. A middle portion of the bearing pivotally joins the arm and/or sun gear. The instant flanged bearing provides a smoother, more efficient operation and increases the useful life of the operator.
