Abstract: A first access network device sends first configuration information to a terminal device, where the first configuration information includes multipath configuration information and a first trigger condition, the multipath configuration information includes configuration information of a plurality of second transmission paths, and each second transmission path includes a transmission link between the terminal device and one second access network device and an interface link between the first access network device and the second access network device. When a radio link between the terminal device and the first access network device meets the first trigger condition, the terminal device activates the multipath configuration information, and transmits a same RRC message to the first access network device by using a first transmission path and at least one second target transmission path. Accordingly, a same RRC message is transmitted by using a plurality of transmission paths, thereby improving RRC message reliability.

Abstract: A resource scheduling method includes: obtaining, by a terminal device, a first resource configuration parameter from an access network device; determining, by the terminal device, whether a first logical channel (LCH) supports the first resource configuration parameter, where the first LCH is an LCH on which there is to-be-sent data; and if the first LCH supports the first resource configuration parameter, determining, by the terminal device, a resource of the first LCH based on the first resource configuration parameter. According to a resource scheduling method provided in this application, after obtaining the first resource configuration parameter, the terminal device determines the resource of the first LCH by determining whether a mapping relationship exists between the first LCH and the first resource configuration parameter, to map the first LCH to the resource that matches the first LCH. This improves resource utilization.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of communications technologies, and disclose a method and an apparatus for recovering from a radio downlink failure. The method includes: monitoring a first radio link to determine whether a radio downlink failure occurs on the first radio link, where the first radio link is a currently connected radio link; if it is detected that the radio downlink failure occurs on the first radio link, starting a physical-layer-monitored automatic-recovery process for the first radio link and starting a Radio Link Control RRC connection re-setup process to set up a second radio link; and recovering from the radio downlink failure through either of the physical-layer-monitored automatic-recovery process and the RRC connection re-setup process.

Abstract: This application provides a DRX configuration method, a terminal device, a network device, and a communications system. The DRX configuration method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, N discontinuous reception DRX configurations sent by a network device, where the N DRX configurations respectively correspond to N groups of carriers; and when a DRX status of the terminal device is an active state, if M groups of carriers in the N groups of carriers are activated carriers, monitoring, by the terminal device, a physical downlink control channel on a specified carrier based on M DRX configurations corresponding to the M groups of carriers. In the DRX configuration manner, the terminal device simultaneously uses a plurality of DRX configurations in an overlay manner, thereby meeting quality of service requirements of different services sent by the terminal device. In addition, the terminal device simultaneously uses the plurality of DRX configurations in an overlay manner, so as to reduce unnecessary physical downlink control channel monitoring in a process of monitoring the physical downlink control channel, thereby reducing energy consumption of the terminal device.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a data communication method and a device, to resolve a prior-art problem of a high latency for switching a terminal device from an idle mode to a connected mode. The method includes: prestoring, by a terminal device, a TA indication list of a group of cells; performing, by the terminal device, cell selection or reselection, and obtaining a cell identity of a cell obtained after the selection or reselection; querying, by the terminal device based on the cell identity, the TA indication list of the group of cells for a TA value corresponding to the cell identity; and if the terminal device successfully finds, in the TA indication list of the group of cells, the TA value corresponding to the cell identity, sending, by the terminal device, an uplink Radio Resource Control (RRC) message in a random access-free manner.
