    摘要: The invention relates to a method for provision of a drive signal for a switch which controls the current drawn by an inductive energy storage element in a power factor correction circuit in which a control signal which controls the power consumption is available. One drive cycle of the switch comprises: detection of a predetermined storage state of the inductive energy storage element; when the predetermined storage state of the storage element is detected, production of a switching-on level for the drive signal for a regular switched-on duration which is dependent on the control signal or for a maximum switched-on duration which is dependent on an input voltage, when the regular switched-on duration is greater than the maximum switched-on and production of a switching-off level for the drive signal for a switched-off duration until the next detection of the predetermined storage state.

    摘要: A switching regulator has a drive circuit, receiving an intermediate circuit input voltage, an output voltage of an intermediate circuit capacitor and an output current at a current measuring element and controls the electrical output parameters and the power factor of the switching regulator in accordance with an adjustable desired value by controlling the duty ratio of a power switch. The drive circuit has a start circuit for dynamically increasing a current limiting level for the power switch during a start time after the switch-on instant of the switching regulator from an initially low level up to a current-limiting desired level at the end of the start time. The loading current-time integral for the diode and the power switch of the power factor correction circuit of the switching regulator is the least with this soft start circuit. Moreover, noise due to abrupt magnetic driving of the inductor is avoided.

The pulsed power supply further has a pulsed second converter and a first closed-loop control circuit for an intermediate circuit voltage. The first closed-loop control circuit being assigned to the second converter and has a first output circuit connected on a downstream side of the second converter. A second closed-loop control circuit is provided for the intermediate circuit voltage. The second closed-loop control circuit is assigned to the second converter and is superimposed on the first closed-loop control circuit such that it can be activated at least temporarily or completely replaces the first closed-loop control circuit at least temporarily. The control time constant of the first closed-loop control circuit being greater than the control time constant of the second closed-loop control circuit.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for operating at least one gas discharge lamp includes supplying a gas discharge lamp with high-frequency alternating voltage from an externally controlled lamp generator having an operating frequency being variable for dimming the gas discharge lamp. The state of the gas discharge lamp is monitored. A preheating phase with an ensuing starting phase are provided for firing the gas discharge lamp. The operating frequency of the lamp generator during the preheating phase is adjusted to be greater than a rated frequency in rated operation. The operating frequency at the beginning of the starting phase is reduced until the gas discharge lamp has attained a predetermined state and the operating frequency is subsequently maintained at least at an instantaneous value thereof until the gas discharge lamp fires. The operating frequency at the end of the starting phase is reduced to the rated frequency, thereby initiating rated operation. The operating frequency is varied for dimming in an ensuing dimming operation.
