    摘要: Synthetic polyol esters with lubricating oil properties based on substantially neutral esterification products of a polyhydric alcohol with selected monocarboxylic acids and, optionally, polybasic carboxylic acids, wherein the polyfunctional alcohol component is dipentaerythritol which is esterified withI--branched C.sub.8 -C.sub.16 fatty acids (class A acids) or withII--mixtures of linear C.sub.8 -C.sub.14 fatty acids (class B acids) with branched fatty acids of class Aand, optionally, limited quantities of polybasic carboxylic acids of the following classes C, D and/or E incorporated in the polyester molecular by condensation:class C acids: di- and/or tricarboxylic acids in the range from C.sub.6 to C.sub.54class D acids: difunctional fatty acids which have been obtained by addition of acrylic acid onto the double bonds of oleic acid, linoleic acid and/or linolenic acidclass E acids: aromatic and/or paraffinic, cyclic polycarboxylic acids containing from 2 to 6 acid functions.

    摘要: A process for the isolation and purification of essentially fatty acid mixtures, which in addition to the methyl branched fatty acids contain saturated and unsaturated, respectively straight chain as well as methyl branched, unsaturated fatty acids, in which the industrial fatty acid mixtures are first hydrogenated by catalysis and then the methyl branched saturated fatty acids are separated, and in which before the hydrogenation if necessary, a separation by the hydrophilization process is provided, this process produces the desired products with a high yield and purity.

    摘要: A low-water content surfactant mixture which is pourable and pumpable at ambient temperature having high wetting power and detergency when used in a fabric detergent composition has a water content of no more than about 20% by weight, and consists essentially of (1) from about 50 to about 65% by weight of a C.sub.12 -C.sub.18 fatty alcohol ethoxylate containing an average of about 10 moles of ethylene oxide, (2) from about 5 to about 15% by weight of an alkali metal salt of a C.sub.16 -C.sub.18 tallow alcohol sulfate; (3) from about 4 to about 15% by weight of a C.sub.12 -C.sub.16 alkane sulfonate alkali metal salt and/or the disodium salt of n-octyl sulfosuccinate; and (4) from about 5 to about 13% by weight of a free C.sub.16 -C.sub.18 fatty acid.

    摘要: The epoxidation of terminally and/or internally olefinically unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds which are liquid at 50.degree. to 100.degree. C. and at atmospheric pressure (oil phase), in which the oil phase is treated with an acid phase containing acetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and peracetic acid in aqueous solution, after which the aqueous acid phase is separated from the oil phase, the peracetic acid in the aqueous acid phase is regenerated and the regenerated aqueous acid phase is returned to the epoxidation reactor. Epoxidation is carried out using an aqueous acid phase containing at most about 10% by weight of peracetic acid, and the peracetic acid content in the aqueous acid phase is reduced by at most about 50%, based on the peracetic acid content of the aqueous acid phase used, after a single passage through the epoxidation stage. After separation from the oil phase, the aqueous acid phase preferably is cooled before regeneration.
