摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a lubricating oil composition capable of achieving good wear resistance and good scoring resistance of a bearing in addition to further fuel saving while maintaining durability and seizure resistance that can be used as a gear oil for a high-output, high-speed gear mechanism. A lubricating oil composition containing a combination of Fischer-Tropsch derived base oil having a low kinematic viscosity at high temperature, polyalphaolefin having a high kinematic viscosity at high temperature, and ester compound of a trivalent or higher polyol having a low kinematic viscosity at high temperature, and further contains a partial ester compound of an unsaturated fatty acid and a polyol, including a monoester compound of the unsaturated fatty acid and the polyol.

摘要: The working fluid composition for a refrigerating machine of the present invention comprises a refrigerant comprising a first refrigerant component and a second refrigerant component, and having a global warming potential (GWP) of 500 or less, wherein the first refrigerant component is at least one selected from difluoromethane and tetrafluoropropene, and the second refrigerant component is at least one selected from carbon dioxide and a hydrocarbon having 3 to 4 carbon atoms; and a refrigerating machine oil comprising at least one selected from a polyol ester, a polyvinyl ether arid a polyalkylene glycol compound as a base oil, wherein a carbon/oxygen molar ratio of the base oil is 2.5 or more and 5.8 or less.

摘要: The present invention addresses the problem of providing a lubricating oil composition having excellent heat resistance (suppression of discoloration in heating) and tackiness while maintaining excellent viscosity properties of a lubricating oil composition using a ricinolic acid polymer. The present invention provides a copolymer (B) containing structural units (a) derived from ricinolic acid, structural units (b) derived from an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and structural units (c) derived from a diol having 2 to 10 carbon atoms in a specific ratio and having a specific intrinsic viscosity, and provides a lubricating oil composition containing a base oil and the copolymer (B) and having a mass ratio (mass of (A) /mass of (B)) of the base oil (A) to the copolymer (B) of 60/40 to 99.5/0.5.

摘要: A method for preventing or reducing engine knock or pre-ignition in a high compression spark ignition engine lubricated with a lubricating oil by using as the lubricating oil a formulated oil. The formulated oil has a composition that contains at least one branched hydrocarbon having at least about 25% of the carbons in the form of methyl groups, or at least one polyol ester of at least one branched mono-carboxylic acid. A lubricating engine oil having a composition that contains at least one branched hydrocarbon having at least about 25% of the carbons in the form of methyl groups, or at least one polyol ester of at least one branched mono-carboxylic acid. The lubricating engine oils are useful as passenger vehicle engine oil (PVEO) products.

摘要: Liquid compositions for use in compression refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump systems in which a fluoroalkene containing from 3 to 4 carbon atoms and at least 1 but no more than 2 double bonds is combined with an effective amount to provide lubrication of an essentially miscible organic lubricant comprised of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen and having a ratio of oxygen to carbon effective to provide a degree of miscibility with said fluoroalkene so that when up to five weight percent of lubricant is added to said fluoroalkene the refrigerant has one liquid phase at at least one temperature between −40 and +70° C. Methods for producing refrigeration and heating with the fluoroalkenes, alone or in combination with the disclosed lubricants, are also disclosed.
