When the print head is scanning in a forward direction, a combination of a magenta ink nozzle line and a yellow ink nozzle line that do not adjoin each other is mainly used. When the print head is scanning in a backward direction, another combination of a magenta ink nozzle line and a yellow ink nozzle line that do not adjoin each other is mainly used.

    摘要: A compact liquid ejection recording head capable of forming high-quality images at high speed includes large nozzles for ejecting large droplets, medium nozzles for ejecting medium droplets, and small nozzles for ejecting small droplets. The large nozzles are arranged on one side of an ink supply port, while the small nozzles and the medium nozzles are arranged on the other side of the ink supply port. The number of the small nozzles is larger than that of the medium nozzles, and that of the large nozzles. This allows high-quality and high-speed printing using the small nozzles, high-speed photo printing using the medium and small nozzles, and high-speed printing using the large nozzles.

    摘要: It is an object of the present invention to ensure a desired precision in positioning an orifice plate with respect to liquid flow paths of a head main body, so as to prevent a failure liquid discharge which will possibly be caused due to a problem involved in a process of forming the orifice holes. In detail, a head main body is formed on the lower wall thereof a plurality of heating elements, has a plurality of liquid flow paths formed by dividing an internal space with a plurality of liquid flow path walls and arranged in parallel relationship with one another. On either side of the plurality of the liquid flow paths there are formed two dummy liquid flow paths. An orifice plate is formed with a plurality of orifice holes arranged in parallel with one another for discharging ink. Further, on either side of the plurality of the orifice holes there are formed two projected portions so shaped that they are capable of engaging with the opening ends of the dummy liquid flow paths. Each of the projected portions is formed with a dummy orifice hole which is not used for discharging ink during recording operation. A desired positioning can be effected by engaging the projected portions of the orifice plate with the dummy liquid flow paths.

    摘要: A first array state has a first nozzle group 50 provided with first nozzles 25a arranged at an array pitch d0, and second nozzle groups 51 each provided with first nozzles 25a arranged at an array pitch d1. The second nozzle groups 51 are disposed on both sides of a nozzle array, and the first nozzle group 50 is disposed therebetween. A second array state has a first nozzle group 50 provided with second nozzles 25b arranged at the array pitch d0, and second nozzle groups 52 each provided with second nozzles 25b arranged at an array pitch d2. The second nozzle groups 52 are disposed on both sides of a nozzle array, and the first nozzle group 50 is disposed therebetween. A diameter of each first nozzle 25a is set greater than that of each second nozzle 25b, and a volume of an ink droplet discharged is also greater. The array pitch d1 is set greater than the array pitch d2, and the array pitch d0 is set smaller than the array pitch d1 and the array pitch d2. This can prevent occurrence of a white stripe upon solid printing.
