摘要： An electrophotographic toner showing good cleanability and is suitable for use in developing an electrostatic latent image formed on an amorphous-silicon photosensitive member is provided. The toner includes toner particles each comprising a binder resin and a colorant, and inorganic fine powder A. The inorganic fine powder A contains 88.0-97.0 wt. % of a rare earth compound comprising a rare earth oxide. The rare earth compound contains 40.0-65.0 wt. % of Ce (calculated as CeO.sub.2), 25.0-45.0 wt. % of La (calculated as La.sub.2 O.sub.3), 1.0-10.0 wt. % of Nd (calculated as Nd.sub.2 O.sub.3) and 1.0-10.0 wt. % of Pr (calculated as Pr.sub.6 O.sub.11). The rare earth compound contains further a fluorinated rare earth compound in such an amount as to provide the inorganic fine powder A with a fluorine content of 2.0-11.0 wt. %.

摘要： The present invention provides a toner improved in dispersibility of a colorant in the toner particles and excellent in the color reproducibility including color mixability and transparency. The toner is also excellent in the stability in long-term of the chargeability and capable of forming images maintaining high image quality. The present invention provides a toner for forming a full-color image which includes at least toner particles containing a binder resin, a colorant and a wax, and inorganic fine particles, wherein the binder resin comprises a resin having polyester units which is synthesized by use of an aromatic carboxylic acid titanium compound as a catalyst, and the inorganic fine particles comprise fine titanium oxide particles.

The photosensitive member has a universal hardness of 1.5×108 to 2.3×108 N/m2, the hardness being measured in an environment of 25° C. with a humidity of 50% using a Vickers diamond indenter having a quadrangular pyramid shape with a maximum load of 6 mN, and has an elastic deformation ratio of 46% to 65%. The toner has a weight average particle diameter of 4.0 to 8.0 μm, the average circularity of the toner having an equivalent circle diameter of at least 2 μm is 0.915 to 0.950, the toner has a storage modulus at 80° C. of 1×105 to 1×108 Pa, and a ratio of a loss modulus G″ of the toner to the storage modulus G′ of the toner (G″/G′=tan δ) is equal to 1 at a temperature in the range of 60° C. to 72° C.

摘要： An image forming method in which a toner-carrying member for carrying a specific magnetic toner is placed adjacent a latent image-bearing member for carrying an electrostatic latent image so as to form a developing region of a predetermined gap size. The magnetic toner on the toner-carrying member forms a toner layer of a regulated thickness smaller than the above-mentioned gap. An asymmetric bias is applied to the magnetic toner so as to cause the magnetic toner from the toner-carrying member to be conveyed to the latent image-bearing member thereby to develop the electrostatic latent image.

摘要： A toner for developing an electrostatic image is constituted by a binder resin and a colorant. The binder resin is characterized by containing at least 20 wt. % of an extraction residue after 6 hours of extraction and below 20 wt. % of an extraction residue after 72 hours of extraction respectively by Soxhlet extraction with tetrahydrofuran. The toner shows a dynamic modulus and a loss modulus, respectively at 200.degree. C. and 0.1 Hz, which are substantially unchanging with time. The properties provide the toner with a harmonization of anti-offset characteristic and fixability as well as stable viscoelasticity under heating.
