    Abstract: A video picture encoding and decoding method, including obtaining a primary sub-region bitstream corresponding to a target sub-picture of a panoramic picture, where the primary sub-region bitstream includes N secondary sub-region bitstreams, and N is a positive integer, parsing the primary sub-region bitstream to obtain a reconstructed picture, performing cross-sub-region-boundary out-loop filtering on the reconstructed picture when an out-loop filtering identifier instructs to perform cross-sub-region-boundary out-loop filtering on the reconstructed picture, to obtain a filtered reconstructed picture, and adjusting a location of at least one of N sub-regions in the filtered reconstructed picture to obtain a picture having no sub-region boundary.

    Abstract: A media data transmission method and an apparatus. The method includes: A client sends first information to a server. The client receives video data packets that correspond to a second target video picture and that are sent by the server. The first information is used to indicate spatial information of a region in which a first target video picture is located, and the first target video picture includes a video picture within a current viewport. The second target video picture includes the first target video picture, at least one of the video data packets corresponding to the second target video picture carries at least one piece of second information, and the second information is used to indicate spatial information of a region in which the second target video picture is located.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention describe streaming media transmission methods and apparatus applied to a virtual reality technology. A method for streaming media transmissions may include sending a media information obtaining request to a server, where the media information obtaining request includes client capability information and auxiliary information, the client capability information indicates that the client supports reception of data pushed by the server, and the auxiliary information indicates an attribute that the client supports virtual reality presentation. The method may also include receiving a media presentation description and media data, where the media presentation description and the media data are sent by the server after the server responds to the media information obtaining request. According to the streaming media transmission methods and apparatus applied to a virtual reality technology in the embodiments of the present invention, a transmission delay can be reduced, and transmission efficiency can be improved.

    Abstract: The present disclosure disclose example video stream transmission methods and related devices and systems. One example method includes sending, by a client, a target request to a server, where the target request includes information about a corresponding target spatial location of a target spatial object that needs to be presented upon request by the client in a virtual reality VR content component. A target request feedback by which the server responds to the target request is received by the client, where the target request feedback includes information about a multiplex video stream that is obtained by performing preset multiplexing processing on an original video stream corresponding to the target spatial object. Video parsing and presentation based on the information about the multiplex video stream is performed by the client.
