Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and a device for associating a user with a group. The method includes: receiving, by a first communications device, a first association request sent by a second communications device, where the first association request includes an identifier of an MCPTT user and identifiers of N MCPTT groups, and N is a positive integer; associating the MCPTT user with M MCPTT groups of the N MCPTT groups according to association subscription information of the MCPTT user; and sending a first association response to the second communications device, where the first association response is used to indicate that the MCPTT user is successfully associated with the M MCPTT groups of the N MCPTT groups, 1≤M≤N, and M is an integer. In this way, the MCPTT user is associated with the M MCPTT groups that the MCPTT user is interested in.

Abstract: A communication method and apparatus are provided. A session management function network element receives first information from an edge application server discovery function network element, where the first information comprises internet protocol (IP) address information of N edge application servers (EASs), and N is an integer greater than or equal to 2. The session management function network element determines an EAS IP address information set based on the IP address information of the N EASs, where the EAS IP address information set comprises IP address information of M EASs, the IP address information of the M EASs corresponds to a same data network access identifier (DNAI), and M is an integer less than or equal to N. The session management function network element sends the EAS IP address information set to the edge application server discovery function network element.

Abstract: A communication method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: A common application programming interface framework core function (CCF) network element first sends reference information of an application to a first network element. Therefore, the first network element determines network slice information corresponding to the application; and then the first network element sends the determined network slice information to the CCF network element. In this way, the CCF network element may determine the network slice information corresponding to the application, so that when an API invoker network element searches for an API, the CCF network element can accurately find, based on an API inquiry parameter, the API from a network slice corresponding to the network slice information.

Abstract: This disclosure provides a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: A multicast session management network element receives first information of a first multicast service from an application server, where the first information indicates at least one of the following: a first service area of the first multicast service, a type of the first multicast service, or the first multicast service. The multicast session management network element sends a service area identifier of the first multicast service to the application server based on the first information. In this way, the application server may obtain the service area identifier of the first multicast service, namely, a service area identifier (SAI) of the first multicast service when the application server does not learn of network topology information.

Abstract: This application provides a context transfer method and a communication apparatus. The method includes: When an edge enabler client context fails to be relocated from a second edge enabler server to a first edge enabler server, a first apparatus sends first information to a first edge application server corresponding to the first edge enabler server, where the first information is used by the first edge application server to subscribe to edge enabler server capability exposure information from the first edge enabler server. In the foregoing technical solution, when an edge enabler client context fails to be transferred, the first apparatus may indicate a target edge application server to subscribe to edge enabler server capability exposure information from a target edge enabler server.
