Abstract: Techniques for focusing the energy radiated by a wireless power transmitting unit are described. An example power transmitting unit includes a transmitter coil configured to generate a magnetic field to wirelessly power a device within an active wireless charging area. The power transmitting unit also includes a power generating circuitry to deliver current to the transmitter coil to generate the magnetic field. The power transmitting unit also includes a shield disposed around the transmitter coil to reduce the strength of the magnetic field outside of the active wireless charging area.

Abstract: In a wireless charging device that includes a resonator having coil windings, a magnetic field can be generated by the resonator. The wireless charging device can include a feed point connected to an inner winding of the coil windings of the resonator. The resonator can inductively couple with a power receiving unit such that the an outer winding of the coil windings limit Eddy current generation in one or more conductive surfaces positioned adjacent to the power receiving unit. The feed point can be selectively connected to the inner winding of the coil in a first mode of operation and the outer winding of the coil in a second mode of operation. The inner winding can have a larger current than the outer winding.

Abstract: A sensor system can include a sensor coil and a sensor coupled to the sensor coil. The sensor coil can include coil portions that generate signals based on magnetic coupling induced in the coil portions by a receiving coil device (e.g., a NFC tag) and magnetic distortion induced in the coil portions by magnetic coupling of a power transmitting unit (PTU). The sensor can reduce the magnetic distortion induced in the first and the second coil portions by the PTU, detect the receiving coil device based the first and the second signals, and control the PTU based on the detected receiving coil device.

In response to a determination of the physical assault against the user, the clothing sensor module is configured to alert a trust party.
