A match is detected between the biometric data of the participant and an image captured from a sensor of the viewer's mobile device. In particular, example methods may provide for operating a device in a multi-device environment, directing the presentation, on a display of the device, of a first image, detecting a motion of the device, directing a change of the image presented on the display of the device from the first image to a second image in response to detecting the motion of the device. The first image presented on the device is related to images displayed on other devices in the multi-device environment. The second image may be a scaled version of the first image and the second image may be scaled based on at least one property of the motion. Each device in the multi-device environment may be directed to display a portion of a complete image, where the first image is a portion of the complete image.

In some embodiments an entity is determined to which the comment is attributed, and an identifier for the entity, such as an avatar, is also presented on the device when the content is being rendered to represent that the identified entity is providing the comment. In various embodiments, the entity is a default commentator, a celebrity or a contact of the user.

For users associated with the group, access is then restricted to the first set of avatar characteristics, and for users not associated with the group, access is restricted to a different second set of available avatar characteristics. Avatar characteristics in the first set may be selected by an automated procedure that analyzes user-specific avatars of some users, and selects which of the available avatar characteristics to include in the first set based on the analysis.
