Abstract:
A confectionery product comprises a pressed tablet made from a compressible composition and having at least one abrasive surface suitable for cleaning the surface of a human tongue in an oral cavity. Typically the product has a first side and a second side generally opposite to the first side; the second side comprising an abrasive surface that is suitable for scrubbing the top surface of the tongue. In some embodiments, the first side is smooth, and may be domed shaped and generally fit the roof of the mouth. The abrasive surface may be provided by 1) a formed, uneven surface, 2) by including abrasive inclusions in the composition making up the second surface, or 3) a combination of a formed, uneven surface and abrasive inclusions.
Abstract:
A modular system for monitoring a hydrogen-cooled generator includes a skid having a platform, a support attachable to said platform and attachable to a plurality of modules for monitoring the hydrogen-cooled generator, and at least one module for monitoring the hydrogen-cooled generator. The module may include a vibration monitoring module. The monitoring modules may allow monitoring the operation of the hydrogen-cooled generator and generating data such as an optimization factor regarding the performance of the hydrogen-cooled generator. The module may be connected via a communications link to a remote control center.
Abstract:
A mullion sealing bridge and method for use in a curtain wall system. In one aspect, the bridge is placed at an intersection horizontal and vertical mullions to divert fluid along the curtain wall system. This Abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an Abstract that allows a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain subject matter of the technical disclosure. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims.
Abstract:
The present invention provides isolated monkey Cathepsin S proteins and isolated nucleic acid molecules such as cDNA molecules that encode these monkey Cathepsin S proteins. The present invention specifically provides, for example, isolated monkey Cathepsin S proteins and encoding nucleic acid molecules, methods of producing the monkey Cathepsin S proteins, methods of identifying and screening modulators of the monkey Cathepsin S proteins, and methods of using these modulators to treat a human disease or disorders associated with an orthologous human Cathepsin S protein.
Abstract:
A support anchor for fastening to a vertical mullion of a curtain wall system is disclosed. The support anchor fastens to a hollow tongue web portion of the vertical mullion. This Abstract is provided to comply with rules requiring an Abstract that allows a searcher or other reader to quickly ascertain subject matter of the technical disclosure. This Abstract is submitted with the understanding that it will not be used to interpret or limit the scope or meaning of the claims. 37 CFR 1.72(b).
Abstract:
A water irrigation system may include a computer system, a sensing unit, an irrigation controller, and/or a water delivery system. The sensing unit may include a solar panel. Electricity produced by the solar panel may be supplied to the sensing unit. The sensing unit may assess climatological conditions in or near a zone to be irrigated. The sensing unit may be elevated at least 2 meters above the computer system. The sensing unit may communicate wirelessly with the computer system to provide output that is a function of the assessed climatological conditions to the computer system. The computer system may control irrigation of a zone to be irrigated at least partially based on the output from the sensing unit. A method of controlling irrigation may include allowing the computer system to control irrigation of a zone to be irrigated at least partially based on the assessed climatological conditions.
Abstract:
A water irrigation system may include a computer system, a sensing unit, an irrigation controller, and/or a water delivery system. The sensing unit may communicate with the computer system. The sensing unit may include a solar panel. Electricity from the solar panel may be supplied to the sensing unit. The computer system may receive community irrigation instructions. The computer system may control irrigation of a zone to be irrigated at least partially based on the community irrigation instructions. A method of controlling irrigation may include receiving sunlight with a solar panel, using the received sunlight to produce electricity, and providing at least a portion of the produced electricity to a part of the water irrigation system. The method may further include receiving community irrigation instructions and controlling irrigation of a zone to be irrigated by the water irrigation system at least partially based on the community irrigation instructions.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a moisture collection bridge and method for use in a curtain wall system. In one aspect, the moisture collection bridge is placed at an intersection of a vertical mullion and one or more horizontal members. The moisture collection bridge is formed to collect fluid in a recess and divert the fluid out of the curtain wall system through an outlet.
Abstract:
A drive signal is generated having at least one pulsed curvilinear waveform shape. This drive signal is applied to a fluid dispenser to cause fluid ejection. Additionally, a drive signal is generated having one or more non-sinusoidal curvilinear waveform shapes. This drive signal is applied to a fluid dispenser to cause fluid ejection. Still further, a drive signal is generated having multiple segments including at least one segment having a curvilinear waveform shape. This drive signal is applied to a fluid dispenser to cause fluid ejection.
Abstract:
The present invention is generally directed to base webs that are creped after a bonding material has been applied to at least one side of the web according to a predetermined pattern. According to the present invention, the bonding material contains a creping adhesive mixed with composite particles. The composite particles generally have a median particle size of less than about 5 microns and a particle size distribution of less than about 10 microns.
