    摘要: A direct media independent interface (DMII) connection for a network device including a data link circuit, a connector, a clock circuit and a crossover connection. The data link circuit includes a reconciliation circuit that transmits and receives signals according to the MII standard. The clock circuit asserts at least one MII clock signal on the crossover connection to synchronize data transfer. The crossover connection crosses MII transmit signals with MII receive signals. A grounding circuit is optionally provided to ground one or more of the MII signals that are not required for the DMII connection. The connector may be a standard MII connector, or may be implemented as a minimum or reduced profile connector for carrying only the desired MII signals. The crossover connection is performed internally within the DMII port, or externally by a crossover cable. The cable is a standard MII cable, or is implemented as a minimum or reduced profile cable. The clock and ground circuits may be incorporated within either or both DMII ports, or may be incorporated within a crossover cable.

    摘要: A system that performs error correction and detection of data read from memory in a computer system having a processor bus and a system bus. A pair of data buffers are used to interface between the memory and the processor data bus or the system data bus. Each data buffer receives half the data bits from the memory array, from the processor data bus, and from the system data bus. Each of the data buffers contains logic for performing error detection and correction. To enable error correction, check bits are generated by the data buffers in a write cycle to the memory. A feature of the present invention is that half the check bits are provided to one data buffer and the second half is provided to other data buffer. When a memory read cycle is performed, the retrieved check bits and data bits are examined according to the error correction algorithm to determine if a single bit correctable error has occurred. If so, the erroneous data bit is flipped. If a multiple bit error is detected, the microprocessor is interrupted to take appropriate remedial actions.

    摘要: A safety pressure relief device having a rupture disc with a conical central portion. The relief device comprises inlet and outlet support members wherein the rupture disc is positioned therebetween. The rupture disc has an annular outer flange portion with a conical central portion disposed radially inwardly therefrom. When positioned in the relief device, a tip of the conical portion is directed toward the inlet support member. Scoring is provided on the conical portion for defining at least one line of weakness thereon. In one embodiment, a plurality of linear scores extend radially on the conical portion and are spaced from the tip and base thereof. In another embodiment, the scoring includes a curvilinear score forming an incomplete circle adjacent the base, either spaced therefrom or contiguous therewith. With all embodiments, the rupture disc is adapted for rupturing at relatively low pressures without fragmentation.

    摘要: A granulator construction including a cover having a first portion connected to the granulator frame along a vertical hinge line and a second portion in turn connected to the first portion along a horizontal hinge line whereby progressive opening of such cover portions along their respective hinges permits partially and fully open granulator positions whereby the feed means and the granulation chamber of the granulator are sequentially exposed. Furthermore, opposed muffler segments in part defining a feed slot are separable so that access to feed rolls etc. may be quickly gained. The lower of such muffler segments is further slidably removable entirely from the granulator construction so as to permit cleaning as when changeovers occur in the material being granulated.
