    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes plural display pixels arranged in a matrix, plural gate lines, plural source lines and a control circuit which controls by applying intermittent driving and a column-inversion drive scheme, an operation in which drive signals are supplied to the gate lines and the source lines, and an image signal is supplied to the display pixels and held thereby, wherein the display pixels each include a liquid crystal in which alignment of liquid crystal molecules is changed by a voltage between pixel electrodes and a common electrode, and the control circuit applies in a signal stop period in the intermittent driving, a voltage corresponding to a gradation higher than or equal to white gradation to the source lines in a case where a display mode of the liquid crystal is a normally-black mode.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a unit pixel including a first pixel, a second pixel neighboring to the first pixel in a column direction, a third pixel neighboring to the first pixel in a row direction, and a fourth pixel neighboring to the second pixel in the row direction, a scanning line extending in the row direction and electrically connected to the first to fourth pixels, and first to fourth signal lines extending in the column direction and provided at intervals therebetween in the row direction, and the first to fourth signal lines are electrically connected to the first to fourth pixels, and video signal potentials for inverted drive applied to the first and second signal lines are inverted in polarity with respect to each other, and those to the third and fourth signal lines are inverted in polarity with respect to each other.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, provided is a thin film transistor device with further improved area efficiency. First contact regions of a first semiconductor layer portion are formed with the first channel region therebetween in a predetermined direction and doped with an N-type impurity, one of the first contact regions electrically connected with a shared electrode, while the other electrically connected with a first electrode. Second contact regions of a second semiconductor layer portion are formed with the second channel region therebetween in the predetermined direction and doped with a P-type impurity, one of the second contact regions electrically connected with the shared electrode, while the other electrically connected with a second electrode. The first and second contact regions are partially disposed alternately and adjacently in a direction intersecting with the predetermined direction.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display pixel allocated at a matrix state in a display area, an image-reading device which detects strength of capacitive coupling by a dielectric material coming close to or making contact with the display area, and a control portion which controls each transistor of the image-reading device. The image-reading device includes a detection electrode which forms capacitance between the detection electrode and the dielectric material, a pre-charge gate line, a coupling pulse line, a readout gate line, a pre-charge line and a readout line. These lines supply a signal which drives the image-reading device. The image-reading device further includes a pre-charge transistor, an amplification transistor, a readout transistor, a compensation transistor, and a power-source switching transistor.
