    摘要: In a frequency-division multiplexing transmitting apparatus for transmitting data at a frequency specific to a mobile station, a symbol compression and repetition unit compresses the time domain of each symbol of a transmit symbol sequence, repeats the symbol a prescribed number of times (L times) and rearranges the symbols of the obtained repetitive symbol sequence in such a manner that the symbols will have an arrangement identical with the arrangement of the transmit symbol sequence; a phase rotating unit applies phase rotation, which varies at a speed specific to the mobile station, to each symbol of the repetitive symbol sequence after the rearrangement thereof; and a transmitting unit transmits the symbols that have undergone the phase rotation. The phase rotating unit varies the amount of phase rotation, which is applied to each symbol of the repetitive symbols, in increments of k·2π/L (where k represents an integer specific to the mobile station) at the period of the repetitive symbol sequence.

    摘要: A clock signal generating circuit generates a clock signal having a frequency other than frequencies obtained by dividing a predetermined frequency by natural numbers without using a PLL circuit. An oscillator generates a reference clock signal having a reference frequency. A counter counts the reference clock signal to divide the reference frequency of the reference clock signal. A count value output from the counter is reset when the count value reaches a predetermined number. Sine-wave data of a sine-wave is output when the count value is input, a set of the sine-wave data being output for successive numbers of the count value from zero to the predetermined number. The set of the sine-wave data corresponds to a predetermined number of waves of the sine-wave. A digital-to-analog converter converts the set of the sine-wave data into an analog sine-wave signal. A filter selectively filters a predetermined frequency component contained in the analog sine-wave signal. A comparator converts the analog sine-wave signal into a clock signal.

A variance parameter .SIGMA..sigma..sup.2 is calculated from a deviation .sigma.=.DELTA..theta.-.DELTA..theta., where .DELTA..theta. is a moving average of the .DELTA..theta.. The variance parameter .SIGMA..sigma..sup.2 thus calculated, is compared with a reference value to determine if a burst signal exists. Since the determination is performed essentially based on a phase of the received signal and not on an amplitude of the received signal, fluctuation of the amplitude of the received signal does not affect the decision.
