    摘要: A detergent concentrate composition suitable for incorporation into a finished lubricating oil comprises:(A) an additive concentrate comprising:(a) a lubricating oil, and(b) a lubricating oil soluble sulphurised or non-sulphurised alkaline earth metal hydrocarbyl phenate modified by reaction to incorporate from greater than 2 to less than 40% by weight based on the weight of the concentrate (A) of either (i) at least one carboxylic acid having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is a C.sub.10 to C.sub.24 alkyl or alkenyl group and R.sup.1 is either hydrogen, a C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl group or a --CH.sub.2 -COOH group, or an anhydride or ester thereof, or (ii) a di- or polycarboxylic acid containing from 36 to 100 carbon atoms or an anhydride or ester thereof, the concentrate having a BN greater than 300 and a viscosity at 100.degree. C. of less than 1000 cSt, and(B) an additive concentrate comprising:(a) a lubricating oil, and(b) a lubricating oil soluble sulphurised or non-sulphurised alkaline earth metal hydrocarbyl phenate, that has not been modified or has been modified by reaction to incorporate less than 0.1% by weight based on the weight of the concentrate (B) of either (i) or (ii), the concentrate preferably having a BN of less than 300.

    摘要: Process for producing an additive concentrate having a viscosity of less than 1000 cSt at 100 EC, by reacting at elevated temperature and in the presence of an inorganic halide or calcium acetate catalyst (A) either (i) a hydrocarbyl phenol or (ii) a hydrocarbyl phenol and sulphur, (B) an alkaline earth metal base added in either a single addition or in a plurality of additions during the reaction, (C) either a polyhydric alcohol having from 2 to 4 carbon atoms, a di- or tri- C.sub.2 to C.sub.4 glycol, an alkylene glycol alkyl ether or a polyalkylene glycol alkyl ether, (D) a lubricating oil, (E) carbon dioxide added subsequent to the, or each, addition of compound (B), and (F) sufficient to provide from 12 to less than 40% by weight based on the weight of the concentrate of either (i) a carboxylic acid having the formula RCH(R')COOH, wherein R is a C.sub.10 to C.sub.24 alkyl or alkenyl group and R is either hydrogen, a C.sub.1 to C.sub.4 alkyl group or a --CH.sub.2 --COOH group, or an anhydride, acid chloride or ester thereof or (ii) a di- or polycarboxylic acid containing from 36 to 100 carbon atoms or an anhydride, acid chloride or ester thereof, the weight ratios of components (A) to (F) being such as to produce a concentrate having a TBN greater than 350.

    摘要: A method for maintaining cache coherency while minimizing the power consumption. The method includes operating a first processor in a reduced power mode. While the first processor is operating in a reduced power mode, certain portions of the internal logic in the first processor remain clocked so that the first processor continues to monitor transactions on the system bus. The second processor runs a transaction on the system bus to request data. In the event that the first processor determines that the transaction by the second processor is requesting cache data that is stored in the first processor in a modified state, the first processor signals the second processor. After the current bus cycle is completed, the first processor writes back the modified cache line on the system bus and second processor re-runs the transaction on the system bus.

    摘要: Disclosed anti-ram systems comprise at least one bollard section comprising a base of limited height and a plurality of spaced bollards extending upwardly from the base, which may be erected or installed on a paved surface such as asphalt, concrete, paver stones, etc., or on an unpaved surface such as soil, and need not be partially of fully buried, and yet can qualify for Department of State crash ratings previously assigned to buried bollard systems. Disclosed anti-ram systems also comprise a plurality of bollard sections and one or more connectors for interconnecting two or more of the bollard sections, and may also include an anchor or anchor system engaging at least each end of a bollard section not connected to another bollard section. The bollard sections may be filled with ballast and high friction structure may be attached to the bottom of the bollard sections to resist sliding after impact.
