    摘要: A coatings application apparatus pumps liquid paint through a flexible conduit within a rotary variable displacement peristaltic pump to a conventional applicator head. Through constant speed rotating lobes peristaltic action squeezes coating liquid within the conduit through the paint applicator control handle and applicator.The control handle permits changes in the paint flow rate. Upon constriction of the conduit within the control handle, flow rate is reduced, back pressure develops with resulting tube distortion. Distortion levered forces act upon a pre-set loaded pump spring. Variation in pump displacement results. The liquid flow rate within the supply conduit is inversely proportional to the back pressure so developed. If fluid flow is completely arrested by full supply tube constriction, back pressure becomes a maximum and pump displacement becomes zero. The pump continues to operate, however, at constant R.P.M., requiring no high starting torque.The pump unit employes two reverter train speed reduction systems in tandem. A conventional planetary or epicyclic gear system provides a first reduction in R.P.M. The pump rotor element itself, as a secondary reduction unit, allows economy in selection of a high speed, low power, motor drive for the peristaltic pump.

    摘要: A direct current electric motor including a stator assembly having a stator core of magnetic material. The core has therethrough a generally cylindrical cavity and rotatably mounted therein is a cylindrical rotor assembly. Recesses are formed in the wall of the cavity, the recesses defining therebetween motor poles. Coil bobbins are provided, the bobbins being dimensioned to be slidably received in the recesses in positions bounding respective ones of the poles and each bobbin having wound thereon a selected plurality of turns of magnet wire. The length of the stator core and rotor assembly and the number of turns can be selectively varied to provide a motor of desired torque. The bobbins may be molded and provided with integrally formed end portions which close the recesses in the wall of the cavity and provide a cavity having a smooth and continuous cylindrical surface. The motor operates from a source of direct current operating potential and may further include electronic commutating means for alternately and sequentially energizing predetermined ones of the coils in synchronism with the rotation of the rotor. The commutating means is responsive to both the rotation and position of the rotor, permits rotation of the rotor in either direction and includes circuitry which minimizes transient voltages applied to the components thereof.

    摘要: An apparatus for supporting a service column from a ceiling includes a mounting assembly adapted to be coupled to the ceiling. The mounting assembly includes a tube configured to extend downwardly with respect to the ceiling.     摘要: An ink supply system for supplying ink to the print head of an ink jet printer includes a pump arrangement having a pump outlet for supplying ink to the print head from a supply tank through a print head supply line. A closed container communicates with the pump outlet and the print head for holding a quantity of ink therein for providing a second flow of ink to the print head at a static pressure that increases linearly with time. A valve controllably actuated by a solenoid selectively directs a portion of the ink from the pump outlet to the closed container, gradually compressing the air therein as the container is filled. Ink is thereby supplied to the print head at a gradually increasing static pressure, facilitating initiation of production of jet drop streams by the print head.

    摘要: An electromagnetic rotary actuator including three laminated pole pieces equiangularly spaced about an output shaft. Each of the pole pieces has a bobbin coil wound thereabout. The output shaft rotor is magnetized with four 90.degree. poles. One of the stator coils is utilized as a reference coil and is energized with a DC current. The other two coils are each coupled to a respective drive transistor. The drive signals to the two drive transistors are complementary. The resultant magnetic field set up by the three stator coils interacts with the magnetic field from the output shaft rotor to move the output shaft to a selected angular position.

The parallelogram mechanism includes a support member adapted to couple to an object, such as a computer monitor, a first arm pivotably coupled to the mounting assembly at a first pivot axis and pivotably coupled to the support member at a second pivot axis, and a second arm pivotably coupled to the mounting assembly at a fifth pivot axis and pivotably coupled to the support member at a fourth pivot axis. The monitor arm includes a counterbalancer having a first end coupled to the mounting assembly at a third pivot axis and a second end coupled to the first arm at the second pivot axis. The third pivot axis is vertically above and vertically aligned with the first and fifth pivot axes. The mounting assembly includes an adjustment mechanism for adjusting the position of the third pivot axis relative to the first and fifth pivot axes to adjust a counterbalancing force exerted on the parallelogram mechanism by the counterbalancer.
