A method of securing a patient onto an operating table when the patient is in a position such as the Trendelenburg position and apparatus therefor including a kit. A viscoelastic pad is used to support and hold a patient on a medical procedure table during a medical procedure performed while the table, and thus the patient lying thereon, is in an inclined position, such as the Trendelenburg position. The viscoelastic pad has characteristics which promote a minimization of pressure forces on the patient's body, as well as promote a secure cushioning and holding of the patient in a desired position on the table, in order to minimize injury to the patient.

The present disclosure describes an operating table with an operating table column and a patient bearing surface arranged on the operating table column, wherein the operating table column comprises a column cladding with at least two rigid components arranged one above the other. The operating table column is designed and configured so that all movable parts of the operating table running inside the operating table column are completely covered laterally. An intermediate space extends from the upper edge of the two components of the column cladding arranged one above the other as far as the patient bearing surface, the intermediate space being a bellows-free space.

A securing element for securing a spindle in a bushing, in particular for a medical stand device, includes a supporting portion configured to arrange the securing element in a predefined axial position on a supporting apparatus of the stand device, and an engagement portion configured to interact with a spindle rotatably supportable about an axis of rotation in the supporting apparatus, or a pin of the stand device, to secure the spindle or pin in a predefined axial position relative to the supporting apparatus rotatably within the supporting apparatus. The securing element can be supported in at least one radial position on the supporting apparatus, in particular in a mounting preparation position and/or a securing position, wherein the engagement portion is configured to interact with the spindle or the pin by engagement in the radial direction, in particular in the securing position. The securing element may also be secured in several radial positions and comprise coupling portions that are formed correspondingly. The first arm is positioned adjacent to the surgical bed portion. Additionally, the first arm has at least one field generator coil embedded therein. The system also comprises a second arm that is attached to the brace component. The second arm is positioned adjacent to the surgical bed portion. Additionally, the second arm has at least one field generator coil embedded therein. The second arm is positioned parallel to the first arm.

A system and method for supporting a patient gas delivery tube includes an elongated support member having a cylindric cross section and including first and second distal ends. A generally planar, rigid base secures the first distal end so as to extend from a surface of the base. The support member includes a biasing portion configured to bias arcuate movement between the first and second distal ends. A mount secured to the second distal end secures an associated tube to the second distal end.

The medical pendant box body has a first panel and a second panel, and a first post and a second post extending along a longitudinal direction of the medical pendant box body. The medical pendant box body also has an upper base plate and a lower base plate. The first panel is attached to the first post and the second panel is attached to the second post. The upper base plate is attached to an upper edge of each of the first and second panels, and the lower base plate is attached to a lower edge of each of the first and second panels. A snap-fit portion is disposed at a side edge portion of at least one of the first panel and the second panel.

A console for supplying medical-technical devices in a treatment room has a support frame and several connectors or sockets for medical-technical supply or for withdrawal of gases and/or electrical supply currents, as well as for providing electronic communication paths for medical-technical end devices. The console can incorporate an audio playback system integrated in the support frame for filling the treatment room with predetermined soothing or therapeutic sounds. The support system may be adapted for being mounted to or suspended from a ceiling mount in a treatment room, and can have a support frame having an integrated and medically approved audio playback system.
