Abstract:
A texturing system for applying a desired texture pattern on a patched portion of a surface. The texturing system comprises a texture material, a selecting system, and a dispensing system. The texture material comprises a carrier, a binder, a filler, and a change material.
Abstract:
An aerosol system for dispensing texture material on a horizontal surface comprising an aerosol assembly, an actuator member, and an outlet structure. The aerosol assembly, which is adapted to contain and dispense texture material, defines a container axis that is substantially vertical during normal use. The actuator member comprises a valve stem for engaging the aerosol assembly and defines a first portion of a dispensing path. The outlet structure defines a second portion of the dispensing path, an outlet orifice, and a dispensing axis. The outlet structure is arranged adjacent to the actuator member such that fluid flowing along the first portion of the dispensing path flows through the second portion of the dispensing path and the outlet orifice and generally along the dispensing axis. The dispensing axis is substantially aligned with the container axis. A cross-sectional area of the outlet orifice is adjustable.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a dispensing apparatus for dispensing a multi-component composition such as an oral care composition. The apparatus comprises a plurality of compartments, each containing a respective component of an composition, an orifice communicating with the plurality of compartments, and a common electrical drive mechanism for simultaneously dispensing the respective components from the plurality of compartments through the orifice. The electrical drive mechanism may comprise a single motor. Each compartment may include a respective piston for extruding a respective component of the composition from the apparatus, the pistons of the plurality of compartments being driven by a common gear mechanism coupled to the motor.
Abstract:
A system for applying a coating to an untextured portion of a destination surface comprises a tube member defining a container opening, texture material within the tube member, a sponge member defining an applicator surface and a sponge opening. The texture material comprises a binder and visually perceivable discrete particles. The sponge member is secured to the tube member such that the texture material can flow out of the tube member through the sponge opening. The texture material is displaced out of the tube member and onto the applicator surface. The applicator surface of the sponge member is displaced substantially along a dispensing axis perpendicular to the applicator surface towards and away from the destination surface with the applicator surface substantially parallel to the destination surface to transfer the texture material to the destination surface.
Abstract:
A dispensing assembly for an aerosol system for dispensing liquid material. The dispensing assembly comprises a base member defining an alignment groove, an actuator member defining a plurality of finger portions, an outlet member defining an outlet opening, a selector member defining a flange portion and a selector threaded portion, and a collar member defining an opening surface and a collar threaded portion. The outlet member is arranged within the plurality of finger portions such that the actuator member and the outlet member define a dispensing path in fluid communication with the outlet opening. The collar member engages the actuator member such that the opening surface is adjacent to the finger portions. The selector threaded portion engages the collar threaded portion. The flange portion of the selector is arranged within at least a portion of the alignment groove. Angular rotation of the selector member relative to the collar member displaces the collar member to deform the outlet member and thus alter a cross-sectional area of the outlet opening.
Abstract:
A texturing system for applying a desired texture pattern on a patched portion of a surface. The texturing system comprises a texture material, a selecting system, and a dispensing system. The texture material comprises a carrier, a binder, a filler, and a change material. The texture material changes from a wet form to a solidified form when exposed to air and appearance when a pH of the texture material changes. The selecting system defines an outlet opening and is supported by the dispensing system such that texture material dispensed from the dispensing system is dispensed through the outlet opening in any one of a plurality of spray patterns.
Abstract:
An aerosol system for dispensing liquid material. An aerosol system for dispensing material, comprising an aerosol assembly, a cover member, a plurality of dispensing tubes, and an accessory storage system. The aerosol assembly defines a cap member and an actuator member. Each dispensing tube is associated with a predetermined pattern. Each of the dispensing tubes may be in a first configuration in which the dispensing tube is secured relative to the actuator member of the aerosol assembly and a second configuration in which the dispensing tubes is secured relative to the aerosol assembly by the accessory storage system. When the cover member covers the actuator member and the dispensing tubes are in the second configuration, the cap member further covers the accessory storage system and the dispensing tubes.
