摘要: The invention relates to a method for automatically regulating the size of a nozzle discharge slot of a nozzle assembly, wherein the nozzle assembly comprises a first and a second nozzle lip and a nozzle discharge slot arranged between the nozzle lips for setting in a controlled manner a thickness profile of a conveyable melt. A plurality of adjusting elements, in particular a plurality of adjusting pins, coupled to a respective thermoelement, is arranged on the first nozzle lip, the thermoelements being controllable by the regulation in such a way that the slot can be adjusted by the action of a mechanical force from the respective adjusting element on the first nozzle lip, as a result of the expansion or contraction of the thermoelements. At least two adjusting elements are adjusted simultaneously. The invention further relates to a control and/or regulation system.

摘要: A fire extinguisher discharge nozzle is provided and includes sidewalls and a biasing element. The sidewalls define an aperture through which a medium(s) is dischargeable and are adjustable between multiple first and multiple second positions associated with dilated and constricted conditions of the aperture, respectively. The biasing element is configured to bias the sidewalls toward assuming one of the multiple first or multiple second positions. The sidewalls are drivable toward assuming the other one of the multiple first or multiple second positions in opposition to bias applied by the biasing element in accordance with a characteristic of the medium(s).

A method for dispensing droplets of fluid with the fluid dispensing apparatus includes moving the valve stem relative to the dispenser body and the nozzle body, collecting fluid in the fluid chamber flowing from the dispenser body when the valve stem is moved in an upstream direction with the valve tip out of engagement with the annular valve seat and the resilient annular portion, and dispensing fluid in the fluid chamber out of the discharge outlet when the valve stem is moved in a downstream direction.

摘要: The present invention relates to systems and methods of delivering fluid from one or more armrests of seat systems. In a feature, the system includes a seat support assembly with armrests with one or more fluid nozzles mounted on one or more of the armrests, a fluid delivery system coupled to the one or more fluid nozzle(s), wherein the fluid nozzles are mounted on an end of the armrest that slopes upward to direct fluid toward the viewer. In another feature, the system includes a seat support assembly with air outlet(s) on an armrest coupled to a fan, which reduces the load on the fluid delivery system. In another feature, the system includes a controller (e.g., a network server) configured to communicate on and off commands that correspond to events on a timeline of a movie to actuate the fluid delivery system to deliver fluids to the outlets.

The switchable slot valve has a valve bore incorporated in a valve main body and is aligned in a valve extent direction, and a valve control rod is rotatable to switch between a throughput position and a closed position and is mounted in the valve bore by bearing faces is disposed. To mitigate disruptions by coating material which has made its way into a bearing gap between the valve bore and the bearing faces, depression regions are provided in the region of which the respective outer circumferential part-face does not bear on the inner circumferential face of the valve bore, on the outer circumferential part-faces between the slot-shaped duct inlet and the slot-shaped duct outlet.

摘要: A nozzle for a fluid dispenser configured to dispense fluid includes a nozzle body and a valve stem that has a valve tip and is movable in an upstream direction and a downstream direction. The nozzle also includes an annular valve seat that is configured to contact the valve tip when the valve stem moves in the downstream direction, and a resilient annular portion that extends from the nozzle body and is adjacent to the annular valve seat. As the valve stem moves in the downstream direction, the resilient annular portion contacts the valve tip, flexes radially outwards, and thereby forms a sealing engagement with the valve tip, to avoid undesirable additional dispensed volumes that may be caused if the valve tip recoils away from the valve seat following initial contact of these elements.
