Abstract:
A method includes receiving a transaction authorization request message in a payment account system. A relevant database entry is accessed to determine whether another payment account belonging to the account holder should be inserted into the transaction authorization request message in place of the payment account originally submitted for use in the transaction. The purpose may be to maximize loyalty reward points or otherwise to gain a benefit available by using the other payment account rather than the originally submitted payment account.
Abstract:
Exemplary systems and methods are disclosed for providing access through security key pairs. One exemplary method includes generating, by a platform, a key pair specific to a user and associated with an access period to an asset, where the key pair includes a first key and a second key associated with the first key, and storing the key pair in a data structure. The method also includes distributing the first key to an application associated with the user and distributing the second key to an access system of the asset. The method further includes receiving an access request for the asset during the access period and including the first key, identifying from the data structure the second key of the key pair based on the received first key, and transmitting a message including the second key to the access system for allowing, or not, access to the asset.
Abstract:
A method of transmitting data from a digital wallet on a user device to a designated server for use by a transaction card application process on the designated server. The method includes receiving code data generated by scanning a code image using the digital wallet on the user device, the code image being associated with a transaction card offer. The code image includes encoded data relating to the transaction card, including an identity of the designated server. The method further includes displaying information relating to the transaction card application process on the user device, the displayed information being generated based at least in part on the code data. The method further includes transmitting, to the designated server, user data for use in the transaction card application process at least a portion of the user data being securely stored by the digital wallet.
Abstract:
A gratuity analytics computing system, for generating gratuity analytics for a plurality of transactions of a customer at a service provider within a date range, is in communication with an electronic device of the service provider over an electronic network. The system includes a gratuity analytics computing device, a database including a memory in operable electronic communication with the gratuity analytics computing device, and a processor configured to: receive transaction data for the plurality of customer transactions occurring within the date range, match a plurality of authorization messages with a respective plurality of clearing messages, generate gratuity analytics for the plurality of customer transactions over the date range based on average tip data from the customer, and calculate a customer satisfaction score for one customer transaction of the plurality of customer transactions based on the generated gratuity analytics.
Abstract:
A method for validating tax data of a taxable entity comprises: receiving at a computer processor, payment card transaction records including at least one of a customer identifier, a merchant identifier, and transaction purchase amounts corresponding to entity purchase transactions over a given time period; analyzing the payment card transaction records data to generate one or more spending profiles according to one or more categories of merchants; correlating the entity spending profiles with one or more other aggregated spending profiles representative of historical spending by additional entities whose reported income is within a given range of the entity reported income; comparing the degree of correlation with a threshold and generating a signal indicative of a request for secondary review of a tax filing of the entity when the degree of correlation is below the threshold; and otherwise generating a signal indicative of a validated tax filing of the entity.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for determining early-adopter payment accounts. One exemplary method generally includes accessing, by a computing device, product data for at least one target product including a product launch date for the at least one target product; accessing transaction data representative of multiple transactions to payment accounts; identifying, by a computing device, at least one of the multiple transactions as involving a purchase of the at least one target product; determining, by the computing device, an interval between the purchase of the at least one target product and the product launch date for the at least one target product; and appending, by the computing device, the payment account associated with the purchase of the at least one target product to an early-adopter segment based on the determined interval satisfying an early-adopter threshold.
Abstract:
A method is provided for determining the propensity of candidate donors to donate to one or more charities. The method generally includes identifying, using a computing processing unit, transactions processed over at least one payment device network as being associated with a first candidate donor. The identified transactions are then parsed to extract ISO 8583 formatted data. By evaluating the extracted ISO 8583 formatted data, a propensity score is assigned to the first candidate donor where the propensity score represents the propensity of the first candidate donor to donate to a first predefined charity, with the propensity score being indicative of likelihood that the first candidate donor will donate to the first predefined charity.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for assigning a value to a coupon, suited for ranking the coupon relative to other coupons. One exemplary method generally includes selecting, by a computing device, a target coupon; weighting, by the computing device, a value associated with the coupon, based on at least one parameter related to the coupon and/or a redemption merchant associated with the coupon; and publishing the weighted value of the target coupon, whereby the weighted value is usable to compare the target coupon to weighted values of other coupons.
Abstract:
A method for generating and providing aggregated and analyzed merchant analytics for a sector is provided. The method includes defining a plurality of sectors and receiving transaction data for financial transactions associated with merchants and occurring within a period of time. The merchants are located in a sector. The method further includes generating aggregated merchant analytics for each sector based on the transaction data associated with all merchants located in the sector, identifying an impact event based on the aggregated data, and retrieving related content. The method further includes displaying on a user interface of the user computing device a graphical representation of the aggregated merchant analytics and the content associated with the impact event.
