摘要: A document is classified by document style on the basis of textual analysis without depending upon morphological analysis. A style-specific frozen pattern is prepared as a reference dictionary for each document style. A frozen pattern list is extracted for an input document based on the basis of a state of appearance of a style-specific frozen pattern present in the document. Confidence for each document style is calculated based on the frozen pattern list and the detected style of the input document.

摘要: Character recognition with an improved recognition ratio is provided without requiring special operations to be performed before character recognition is performed. A preliminary character recognition operation is performed in which the feature vector of an input character is compared to a recognition dictionary that contains a reference vector for each category. The candidate category to which the input character belongs is determined, and the feature vector and recognition result for each input character is saved. The input characters judged to have been recognized with high reliability are selected with reference to their recognition results. The feature vector of each selected input character is used to predict a writer-specific feature vector of a category different from the candidate category to which the selected input character belongs. A writer-specific reference vector is then generated for each category from the writer-specific feature vector of the category, preferably by using the writer-specific feature vector to correct the reference vector for the category. A final character recognition operation is then performed in which the feature vectors of the input characters are compared with the writer-specific reference vectors.

摘要: A microwave strip line filter has a pair of dielectric substrates being stacked and bonded to each other, which are similar in pattern but different in dimension. The dielectric substrates are bonded to each other with spots of bonding agent applied to resonant electrodes on one of the dielectric substrates, thereby preventing the electric characteristic from being adversely affected by bonding agent when the dielectric substrates are superimposed and bonded to each other. The dielectric substrates are made of ceramic materials having relative dielectric constants in order to easily and exactly obtain various desirable resonant frequency characteristics by using resonant electrodes having the same pattern.

摘要: A suspension control system is designed to adjust suspension characteristics between hard and soft for bounding and rebounding stroke independently of each other. The system has a sensor means for monitoring speed of a vehicular body as a sprung mass for producing a vehicle body speed indicative signal, which vehicle body speed indicative signal has a variable signal polarity depending upon the direction of vibration, and a sensor means for monitoring relative speed between the vehicular body and a vehicular wheel as an unsprung mass for producing a relative speed indicative signal which also has a variable signal polarity depending upon the direction of relative movement of the vehicular body and the vehicular wheel. A control unit detects a combination of signal polarities of the vehicle body speed indicative signal and the relative speed indicative signal for adjusting damping characteristics for bounding and rebounding vibration independently of each other and depending on the detected combination.
