Abstract:
A spinal fixation assembly has a bone screw with head having a continuously curved spherical outer surface. The curved surface nests in a split annular bushing having a plurality of segments curving around the screw head. The bushing has an outward extending flange that fits into a recess in a socket in a fixation plate. The plate has at least three legs which extend from ends of a cross-member to form one of an H shaped, X shaped or A shaped configuration. Each socket is curved to rotatably receive rotation of the bushing. The socket recess is larger than the bushing flange to allow the bushing to tilt a predetermined amount depending on a thickness of the outward extending flange.
Abstract:
A meter pit lid plug and bracket assembly configured to suspend a transmitter plug inside a meter pit is provide. The meter pit lid plug and bracket assembly includes a plug and a bracket. The plug includes a head and a stem that extends from the head. The stem is also configured to extend through a hole in a meter pit having a top surface. The head is sized to rest on the top surface of the meter pit lid and is configured to hold the stem in the hole. The bracket is configured to hold the transmitter plug inside the meter pit. The stem is selectively engageable with the base so that when the stem is connected with the base, both the plug and bracket are configured to hold and suspend the transmitter plug inside the meter box.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and tool assemblies for distributing weight between a bit and a reamer device are disclosed. For example, at least one of the drill bit and the reamer may be configured to selectively distribute a weight-on-bit between the drill bit and the reamer, such as within a predetermined range. Additionally, methods of drilling wellbores may include selectively distributing a weight-on-bit applied to a bottom hole assembly between a drill bit and a reamer of the bottom hole assembly. Also, a reamer may be configured to exhibit a first maximum rate-of-penetration into a relatively hard formation, and a drill bit may be configured to exhibit a second maximum rate-of-penetration into a relatively soft formation that is less than the first maximum rate-of-penetration.

Abstract:
This invention provides a method for treating or preventing arrhythmias in a human subject comprising the administration of an effective amount of a calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase inhibitor. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions comprising a calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase inhibitor and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier and methods for identifying agents useful for the treatment of arrhythmias.
Abstract:
An improved portable colorimeter is described in which there is a cap member detachably secured to a housing. The cap member can be placed in one position for enclosing the cell compartment for protection of the colorimeter during transport and storage. The cap can be placed in a second position over the cell compartment for preventing ambient light from entering the cell compartment during testing. In one embodiment the cap member rests in grooves adjacent the cell compartment during testing.
