    摘要: A computer-readable, non-transitory medium stores the system analysis program which can accurately analyze the operational status of a system without modifying functions of the system for providing services. A message analysis unit analyzes the contents of collected messages, and determines the times of occurrence of the messages, the process types requested by the messages, and whether or not each of the messages is a request message or a response message. In response to an instruction for model generation, a model generation unit generates a transaction model satisfying at least one limiting condition related to caller-called relationships between processes, based on a set of messages selected in accordance with a selection criterion based on the certainty of existence of caller-called relationships. Then, in response to an instruction for analysis, an analysis unit analyzes the processing status of a transaction based on a protocol log conforming to the transaction model.

    摘要: A disk time-sharing apparatus is constructed by a disk apparatus having disk drives, an input/output request unit for issuing an input/output request to the disk apparatus, and an input/output scheduling unit. The input/output scheduling unit forms input/output groups obtained by grouping inputs/output sources to/from the disk apparatus, defines a ratio of time during which each input/output group uses the disk apparatus, and decides quanta (allocating time) &tgr;1 to &tgr;3 during which each input/output group can use the disk apparatus continuously on the basis of the defined time ratio. When input/output requests are received to the disk apparatus from a plurality of input/output groups, a time-sharing for using the disk apparatus by switching the allocating time &tgr;1 to &tgr;3 sequentially among the competing input/output groups is performed.

    摘要: When a list to be sorted is divided into L sorted merge objective lists, each of the merge objective lists is formed of a plurality of blocks (where L is any natural number larger than or equal to 2). For each block, a block information record having a block identifier and a key value of a representative record of the block is generated. With the block information records, a first auxiliary information list is generated. The first auxiliary information list is sorted in a predetermined order of key values so as to generate a second auxiliary information list. The second auxiliary information list is almost equally divided into P portions (where P is any natural number larger than or equal to 2). For each of the P sub-auxiliary information lists, a forward boundary value and a backward boundary value are set corresponding to a predetermined rule. The P sub-auxiliary information lists are allocated to P process units. Each of the P process units retrieves a portion (segment) corresponding to the sub-auxiliary information list from the L sorted merge objective lists and merges blocks of the segment.

    摘要: An input/output scheduling unit forms input/output groups obtained by grouping inputs/outputs to/from a disk apparatus. The input/output scheduling unit defines a ratio of the time during which each input/output group uses the disk apparatus and defines quanta &tgr;1 to &tgr;3 during which each input/output group can continuously use the disk apparatus on the basis of the defined time ratios. When input/output requests are received from a plurality of input/output groups to the disk apparatus, the input/output scheduling unit performs the time-sharing for sequentially switching the allocating times &tgr;1 to &tgr;3 between the input/output groups which competed and using the disk apparatus. Further, an allocating time of the remaining quanta is distributed to the quanta on the shortage side by an allocating time control unit in accordance with a degree of jam of each input/output group.
