摘要： An improved operator controlled system for a copying machine to minimize user error and to provide a compact control console. An information display member is capable of sequentially displaying an identification of discrete operating features, such as number of copies, etc. A memory is capable of storing a predetermined set of first command signals for each discrete operating feature. A common set of control members permits the user to selectively generate second input command signals relative to any specific operating feature. These same control members are capable of inputing signals for a number of different operating features. The copying machine is capable of discriminating between the input command signals and the particular operating feature. The resulting operation of the copying machine would be in accordance with the predetermined standard set of machine functions or any combination thereof of operator inputed command functions. The specific discrete operating features are automatically displayed after a predetermined set time to minimize any error resulting from operator forgetfulness.

The improved type of sequential controller of the present disclosure has a plurality of cam plates each of which is provided with switch units for controlling the operating periods of the various component devices, and which are rotated by a driving means, a lock claw for engaging with the cam plates and a controller for controlling the movement of the lock claw, so that the predetermined rotation of the cam plates controls the operating periods of the various devices.

摘要： A copying machine wherein a magnification ratio can be changed substantially continuously within a predetermined range, comprising means for setting a longitudinal magnification ratio of a copied image against an original and a lateral magnification ratio of a copied image against the original independently, image shifting means for shifting an image projected on a photosensitive drum in a direction away from a paper separation belt, first calculating means for calculating a lateral magnification factor, second calculating means for calculating a longitudinal magnification factor, and means for modifying the longitudinal and lateral copy magnification ratios respectively using the selected magnification ratio, the longitudinal and lateral magnification factors, whereby an image can be formed on the copy paper, preventing image drop out.

摘要： The present invention is an electrophotographic copying apparatus which includes a group of switches disposed along the path of the copy paper. These switches are so arranged as to control the functions of corona charging, exposure and aligning the forward edge of the image formed on the photoreceptor with the leading edge of the copy paper, while the starting of the transfer device and the function of the copy paper separation device are controlled through a control cam which is driven by actuating signals produced by one of these switches. Since the developing and transfer functions are arranged to be suspended by a drum cam rotating as one unit with the photoreceptor drum, the possibility of copy paper jamming is decreased to a large extent through reduction of the number of switches employed, while undesirable developing and transfer at the slot portion or seam portion of the photoreceptor are advantageously eliminated.
