Abstract: A mobile communication system which can transfer information on the number of packets counted up until then by a base station of a mobile source, to a base station of a mobile target, even when a terminal performs a handover. UE moves to a Target eNode B, but a Source eNode B decides to perform a handover, and the Source eNode B includes information on the number of packets counted up until then in a Handover Request message to the Target eNode B, so as to notify the Target eNode B. After receiving a Handover Confirm message from the UE, the Target eNode B includes information on the number of packets received from the Source eNode B in a Handover Complete message transmitted to a CN Node, so as to notify the CN Node.

It is thus, for example, possible to allow an MEC server (or an MEC application hosted on the MEC server) and the radio access network (RAN) node to directly exchange therebetween control messages regarding a specific radio terminal.

Abstract: In response to receiving from a source RAN node (2), on a direct interface (101), a message requesting a handover of a radio terminal (1) from a first network to a second network, a target RAN node (3) receives at least one of slice information and flow information from a core network (5), and controls communication of the radio terminal (1) based on at least one of the slice information and the flow information. The slice information relates to a network slice in the second network. The flow information relates to at least one session to be established in the second network, serving as a bearer-less network, in order to transfer at least one packet flow of the radio terminal (1). It is thus possible, for example, to provide an Inter-RAT handover procedure involving transfer of handover signaling messages on a direct inter-base-station interface.

It is thus, for example, possible to contribute to performing a procedure for changing a master base station in Dual Connectivity (DC) by using existing inter-base station interface procedures and inter-base station signaling messages.
