Abstract: This medical information processing system is provided with: an operation policy input unit which receives a selection of an operation policy defining a plurality of operation policies which can be taken by a hospital as a whole; a model learning unit which refers to a database being managed so as to be accessible in the hospital, and generates, for each selectable operation policy, a maximization model of each operation policy with respect to an environmental change of the hospital; and a behavior optimization unit which, using the maximization model of the operation policy selected by the operation policy input unit, generates decision assistance information for a healthcare worker with respect to each patient that maximizes the overall efficiency of the hospital in accordance with the environmental change of the hospital.

Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a sphygmomanometer that has a high level of measurement accuracy and places a low burden upon a subject whose systolic pressure is being measured. To this end, the sphygmomanometer according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a cuff pressure and pulse wave detecting unit that detects cuff pressure and pulse waves; and a blood pressure calculating unit that divides pulse waves detected by the cuff pressure and pulse wave detecting unit into a plurality of sections within a specific period, and calculates an estimated value for systolic pressure on the basis of fluctuations in the symmetry of the pulse wave waveform in the plurality of sections, said fluctuations occurring along with variations in the cuff pressure detected by the cuff pressure and pulse wave detecting unit.

Abstract: A living body determination device includes: a light irradiation device that irradiates a measuring object with a first light including a plurality of spectrums; a spectroscopic device that disperses a light at intensity depending on a wavelength and outputs the light; an image acquisition device that receives the light output by the spectroscopic device and outputs image information representing brightness depending on the intensity of the light; and a control unit. The control unit, for each spectrum of the first light, acquires image information with respect to the measuring object from the image acquisition device, based on the image information, selects one or more areas, for each of the areas, acquires spectroscopic information, and based on whether the spectroscopic information satisfies a predetermined condition, determines whether the measuring object is a living body.

Abstract: In order to accurately manage medication-taking, a medication-taking management system is provided with: an irradiation unit; an image capture unit; an identification unit; and an output control unit. The irradiation unit irradiates a tablet that moves in a housing with light. The image capture unit captures an image of the tablet being irradiated. The identification unit, on the basis of information representing a feature of a tablet surface obtained from a captured image obtained by means of the image capture unit, identifies the tablet of which an image has been captured. The output control unit outputs an image capture time, indicating the time of acquisition of the captured image, in association with the result of identification.
