    Abstract: A method, apparatus, and a computer-readable storage medium are provided for enhanced early measurement reporting procedures at a user equipment. In an example implementation, the method may include a user equipment determining that the user equipment is configured for enhanced early measurement reporting, determining whether to initiate early measurement reporting measurements based on an indication when the user equipment is configured for enhanced early measurement reporting, and initiating the early measurement reporting measurements in response to determining to initiate the early measurement reporting measurements.     Abstract: An example embodiment relates to Random Access Channel, RACH, procedure, for example in the New Radio, NR. Random access procedures may be of two types, contention based CBRA and contention free, CFRA. A client device may only perform CBRA fallback when none of the reference signal received strengths, RSRPs, of the synchronization signal blocks, SSBs, which is associated with the CFRA resources is above a predefined threshold, T1. All SSBs and CSI-RS with associated CFRA resources may be below the threshold. Then, the client device may select an SSB or CSI-RS according to a predefined rule and perform CFRA when CFRA resources are associated. Devices, methods and computer programs are disclosed accordingly.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to for conditionally skipping monitoring of downlink control channel in random access. A first apparatus receives, from a second apparatus, a command indicating the first apparatus to skip monitoring a downlink control channel between the second apparatus and the first apparatus for a time period. The first apparatus initiates an RA procedure towards the second apparatus. The time period at least partially overlaps with a time window associated with the RA procedure and an end of the time period is after an end of the time window. The first apparatus determines whether the RA procedure is successfully completed or contention resolution for the RA procedure is successful. Based on the determination, the first apparatus ignores or performs the command after the end of the time window.
