Abstract: A display driver integrated circuit and a display driving method are provided. The display driver integrated circuit is suitable for driving a display panel of an electronic device. The display driver integrated circuit includes an image processing circuit, a timing controller, and a data driving circuit. The image processing circuit is configured to generate an output image based on time information, a background image, and an original time indication image. The timing controller is coupled to the image processing circuit, and configured to receive the output image. The data driving circuit is coupled to the timing controller, and configured to receive the output image and generate data voltages according to the output image. The data driving circuit drives the display panel according to the data voltages regarding to the output image.

Abstract: The present invention provides an image compensation circuit generating output image data to drive a display panel having pixels. The image compensation circuit includes first/second control circuits and first/second compensation circuits. The first control circuit may receive input image data for the pixels and generate a plurality of first compensation values corresponding to compensation for voltage drop on the display panel according to the input image data. The first compensation circuit may compensate the input image data for the pixels with the first compensation values. The second control circuit may receive the first compensation values from the first control circuit and generate a plurality of second compensation values corresponding to compensation for channel length modulation (CLM) effect of the pixels according to the first compensation values. The second compensation circuit may compensate the input image data for the pixels with the second compensation values, to generate the output image data.

Abstract: An image apparatus and a method of preventing burn in are provided. The image apparatus includes a comparison circuit, a stress level circuit and an image processing circuit. The comparison circuit compares a difference between a current block in a current frame and the current block in a previous frame to obtain difference information corresponding to the difference, wherein the current block includes at least one pixel. The stress level circuit is coupled to the comparison circuit to receive the difference information corresponding to the current block of the current frame, and estimates a stress status of the current block of the current frame according to the difference information. The image processing circuit is coupled to the stress level circuit to receive the stress status, and determines whether to downgrade a stress of the current block according to the stress status to prevent occurrence of burn in.

Abstract: A display panel and a display driver are provided. The display panel includes a plurality of sub-pixel repeating units, which are arranged repeatedly to form a pixel array. Each row of the sub-pixel repeating unit includes an odd number of sub-pixels, where every two sub-pixels are regarded as one pixel unit, and another sub-pixel is added at the last column of the sub-pixel repeating unit. The odd-numbered sub-pixels are respectively written by N groups of pixel data. The amount of these sub-pixels is 2N+1, which is between two to two and a half times of the amount of the pixel data. Each odd-numbered column of the sub-pixel repeating unit includes the sub-pixels of two different colors, which are alternately arranged in each odd-numbered column.
