    摘要: Provided is a particulate magnetic recording medium having good processing properties and being inexpensive to produce, similar to prior recording media, wherein by controlling the magnetic clusters that appear due to recording at short wavelengths and thinning of the magnetic layer, good high-density characteristics are achieved in combination with MR heads. The magnetic recording medium comprising an essentially nonmagnetic lower layer and a magnetic layer comprising a ferromagnetic powder and a binder in this order, wherein the magnetic layer has a thickness ranging from 0.01 to 0.15 &mgr;m and a coercivity equal to or higher than 159 kA/m, ferromagnetic particles contained in the ferromagnetic powder have a size less than ½ of the minimum recording wavelength, and an average size of magnetic cluster at DC erase is equal to or higher than 0.5×104 nm2 and less than 5.5×104 nm2.

    摘要: The present invention provides a magnetic recording medium comprising a nonmagnetic layer mainly having an inorganic nonmagnetic particle dispersed in a binder provided on a nonmagnetic flexible support and a magnetic layer having a ferromagnetic particle dispersed in a binder, characterized in that the magnetic layer comprises a hexagonal ferrite magnetic material and exhibits a thickness of 1 .mu.m or less, or 2.5 .mu.m or less in total if there are a plurality of magnetic layers, a central line average surface roughness of 0.006 .mu.m or less, SFD of 0.3 or less in the longitudinal direction on the plane and Br/Hc of less than 1.5, whereby the short wavelength recording can be remarkably improved in electro-magnetic conversion characteristics, particularly 7 MHz output.

    摘要: An ultrasonic imaging apparatus comprises an ultrasonic transducer for transmitting ultrasonic beams to a subject and converting echoes from the subject to echo signals, a scan controller for selectively switching a scanning mode between a first scanning mode in which a predetermined number of rasters in each of a plurality of scanning blocks each having the predetermined number of rasters are scanned repeatedly and echo signals at a predetermined number of sample points in each of the rasters are extracted block by block and a second scanning mode in which a plurality of rasters are repeatedly scanned a predetermined number of times while at least one raster is shifted sequentially and data are output at constant intervals, a transmitter/receiver circuit for driving the ultrasonic transducer in accordance with a scanning mode selected by the scan controller, processes the echo signals output from the ultrasonic transducer to output an image signal and a television monitor for visually displaying the image signal.
