Abstract: A positive electrode is disclosed including a positive electrode collector containing aluminum, a positive electrode mixture layer containing a positive electrode active substance constituted from a lithium transition metal oxide, and a protective layer provided between the positive electrode collector and the positive electrode mixture layer. The protective layer contains inorganic compound particles and a conductive material, and has a recessed structure wherein the positive electrode mixture layer is recessed into the protective layer.

Abstract: A lithium secondary battery includes: a positive electrode including Li—ComM1-mOn (M represents at least one element selected from the group consisting of Na, Mg, Sc, Y, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Al, Cr, Pb, Sb and B, where 0≦x≦1.2, 0.9≦m≦1.0, 2.0≦n≦2.3); a negative electrode capable of absorbing/desorbing lithium; a separator arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and a nonaqueous electrolyte solution including fluoroethylene carbonate, a carbonate other than fluoroethylene carbonate, a compound having an isocyanate group, and lithium difluorophosphate.
