    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may obtain a signal received over a wireless channel, the signal configuring one or more random access parameters for the wireless channel. The UE may obtain a downlink control signal over the wireless channel, wherein the downlink control signal comprises an indication of a trigger and a location of one or more random access occasions for the UE. The UE may output, based at least in part on the downlink control signal, a random access signal for transmission on the wireless channel during at least one of the one or more random access occasions and according to the one or more random access parameters and the location. The UE may establish a connection with a base station based at least in part on the random access signal.

    Abstract: Over-the-air (OTA) dynamic time division duplex (TDD) is disclosed with a channel use indicator (CUI) receiver (CUI-R) signal multiplexed in uplink transmissions. According to various aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a downlink grant from a serving base station, in which the downlink grant identifies downlink transmissions in one or more subsequent communication slots. The UE may identify a trigger for transmission of a channel usage signal associated with the grant that may be received by neighboring UEs that may potentially interfere. The UE transmits the channel usage signal in a next scheduled uplink region and then receives downlink data from the serving base station according to the downlink grant. If the neighboring UE receives a conditional uplink grant, then it may proceed with uplink transmissions when it fails to detect the channel usage signal from the UE.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for the identification of a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource. In some aspects, a UE that receives the CSI-RS may determine CSI feedback based at least in part on the CSI-RS after detecting the CSI-RS resource that includes the CSI-RS. Signaling or techniques for when no CSI-RS is detected (such as when the base station fails a channel access operation for all available CSI-RS resources) are also provided. Furthermore, approaches for rate matching for a shared channel around CSI-RS resources or for CSI interference management (CSI-IM) resources are provided, as well as CSI reporting approaches for cases when the UE fails to transmit CSI feedback due to a failed channel access operation, such as a triggered or re-triggered CSI report.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related monitoring the start of a transmission opportunity (TXOP) in unlicensed or shared frequency bands are provided. In one embodiment, a first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a first configuration including a set of first control channel monitoring periods outside of a TXOP. The first wireless communication device communicates, with the second wireless communication device, a communication signal during the TXOP based on a second control channel monitoring period longer than each of the first control channel monitoring periods. In one embodiment, a first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device, a configuration including a first search space for a control channel monitoring outside of a TXOP and a second search space for a control channel monitoring within the TXOP, the second search space being partially-overlapped with the first search space.
