Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for a user equipment (UE) with concurrent sidelink and network link connections to operate the sidelink connection in accordance with a configured behavior associated with a bandwidth part (BWP) operation mode on the network link. The UE behavior may include, for example, no impact on sidelink activity when the network link is in a dormant or network energy saving (NES) mode, discontinuation of sidelink operation when the BWP is configured with a dormant or NES operation mode, or sidelink operation only in an identified sidelink mode when the BWP is configured with a dormant or NES operation mode. The sidelink operation mode based on NES mode of a network link BWP may be signaled to the UE on a per-BWP basis, or based on configuration and separate indication when a BWP is enabled.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may proactively provide assistive (e.g., redundant) information associated with a set of data messages transmitted via a set of periodic resources, which may reduce an amount of (or obviate the use of) retransmission indications from the network entity. For example, the UE and the network entity may support a first set of periodic resources for transmission of data messages and a second set of periodic resources for transmission of assistive information associated with the data messages. The second set of periodic resources may be a subset of the first set of periodic resources or may be different from the first set of periodic resources, and may be designated or indicated as assistive of the first set of periodic resources via control signaling or an activation downlink control information (DCI).

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to receive a first message that includes an indication of a mapping between a set of multiple network energy saving (NES) modes and a set of multiple discontinuous reception (DRX) configurations. In some examples, the mapping indicates a correspondence between a respective NES mode of the set of multiple NES modes and a set of one or more DRX configurations of the set of multiple DRX configurations. The UE may receive a second message that includes an indication of a NES mode out of the set of multiple NES modes. The UE may monitor a downlink control channel in a accordance with a DRX configuration based on the indicated NES mode and the mapping.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communications device such as a user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling that indicates a sleep cycle of a network entity over which the network entity alternates between an active time duration and an inactive time duration. In some examples, the control signaling may indicate a wakeup signal (WUS) occasion within a first active time duration of the sleep cycle for communication of a WUS and a time and frequency resource within the first active time duration of the sleep cycle that occurs after the wakeup signal occasion. The UE may monitor and receive, via the time and frequency resource, a first control message including an indication of a dynamic adaptation to the sleep cycle and indicating the power state of the network entity.

Abstract: Positioning of a user equipment (UE) is supported using reception points (RPs) that receive uplink sounding reference signals (SRS) from the UE. The RPs may measure signal strengths of received SRS that are used to determine path loss reference values that are provided to the UE for configurating subsequent SRS. The UE may report a plurality of RxTx time difference measurements with respect to a single PRS for the SRS transmitted to a plurality of RPs. The RPs may provide an Rx time for received SRS, which is used to generate a RxTx time different measurement for asymmetric round trip time (RTT) if the RP and TRP clocks are synchronized. The RPs may provide an RxRx time difference measurement for a time of reception of PRS and SRS if the RP and TRP clocks are synchronized. A location server determines a position of the UE using different positioning measurements.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may receive and decode multiple types of transport blocks. The UE may receive, via the transceiver, a downlink control information (DCI) that indicates at least first transmission parameters for a first type of transport block for the UE and second transmission parameters for a second type of transport block for rate-splitting with a second UE. The UE may receive, via the transceiver, the first type of transport block during a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) occasion based on the first transmission parameters. The UE may receive, via the transceiver, the second type of transport block based on the second transmission parameters and a third type of transport block based on third transmission parameters during a second PDSCH occasion.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques are directed to transmission and reception point (TRP)-specific network operation sequences. A first TRP may be configured with a first network operation sequence, and a second TRP may be configured with a second network operation sequence. The use of separate network operation sequences for different TRPs may enable some TRPs to operate in lower-power consumption modes, while simultaneously enabling a network to accommodate dynamic network traffic. Different network operation sequences may be configured with different parameters or restrictions. Different TRPs may be associated with different control resource set (CORESET) indices or different virtual component carriers. In some examples, a first TRP may indicate parameters to a UE for communicating with a second TRP in a flexible mode at the second TRP.
