    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques to reduce overhead and improve resource management by efficiently selecting RSMA spreading code for periodic traffic in IoE devices. For example, in accordance with one technique, the IoE device, during an initial access to the base station, may notify the base station of the traffic periodicity of the IoE device such that the base station may assign a spreading code from a dedicated pool that is not utilized during the periodic access of the device. Additionally or alternatively, another technique to reduce overhead and improve resource management may include the IoE devices broadcasting the selected RSMA spreading code that the IoE devices intends to use in discovery broadcasts (DBs) along with the IoE device traffic periodicity such that the IoE devices may autonomously manage selection of RSMA spreading code that avoids collisions for the same traffic periodicity.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may alter, or otherwise cancel, a sidelink communication as a result of a cancelation indicator (CI) corresponding to a different UE to support automatic gain control (AGC) calibration. The UE may determine to cancel or alter sidelink resources that at least partially overlap in time and are adjacent to, yet non-overlapping, in frequency to a high priority transmission. In some implementations, the UE may cancel the sidelink communication from an earliest overlapping symbol to the end of a slot. In other implementations, the UE may cancel a portion of the sidelink communication and resume sidelink communications within the same slot. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may utilize one or more reference signals or symbols to enable AGC recalibration during the slot.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a user equipment (UE) may transmit feedback signaling for received sidelink messages to both the base station and the transmitting UE. The receiving UE may multicast a feedback message to both the base station and the transmitting UE on a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or on a physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH). The base station may configure the receiving UE with resources, the transmitting UE may allocate resources to the receiving UE, or the base station may actively monitor for the feedback message. In some examples, the receiving UE may operate in a dual connectivity mode, and may transmit the feedback message to both the base station and the transmitting UE on both the PUCCH and the PSFCH.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may belong to a group of UEs and may identify a channel sensing schedule for the group of UEs. The channel sensing schedule may include sensing windows and resource reservation windows corresponding to each UE of the group of UEs. The channel sensing schedule may establish a pattern for the sensing windows and resource reservation windows such that the UEs may take turns performing sensing and resource selection. During a sensing window associated with the UE, the UE may sense a set of resources of a sidelink communication link to identify candidate resources. The UE may transmit, to the other UEs of the group, a message indicating results of the sensing, such as an indication of resource reservations, candidate resources, or the like. The other UEs may identify and select candidate resources based on the message.

    Abstract: Systems, apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media that enable and support backward cancellation indication for sidelink transmissions are described. In a situation where a sidelink data transmission with respect to one or more resources previously reserved for sidelink communication is ineffectual, a sidelink transmission user equipment (UE) may indicate the ineffectual data transmission in a transmission opportunity subsequent to the transmission having an ineffectual data transmission, such as by transmitting a backward cancellation indication (BCI). The BCI may provide information to a corresponding sidelink receiver UE regarding the resource with respect to the ineffectual data transmission. The sidelink receiver UE may use information provided by the BCI in determining whether to alter utilization of signals received on resources of the ineffectual data transmission. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

A first user equipment (UE) may determine that the first UE is to receive a sidelink transmission from a second UE, the sidelink transmission comprising a sidelink control channel and a sidelink data channel. The first UE may receive, based at least in part on a first resource configuration for a sidelink feedback channel failing to satisfy a resource threshold associated with transmitting a feedback message, an indication of a second resource configuration from the second UE, the second resource configuration for transmitting the feedback message to the second UE for the sidelink transmission, the second resource configuration satisfying the resource threshold. The first UE may receive the sidelink transmission from the second UE. The first UE may transmit, to the second UE, the feedback message using the second resource configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques for multiple transmission reception points (TRPs) in a cluster may coordinate scheduling and communications with a user equipment (UE). Different TRPs may allocate uplink resources for one or more UEs within a coordinated cluster to transmit feedback information. A first TRP may provide a first set of resources that one or more associated UEs may use to transmit acknowledgment (ACK) feedback to indicate successful receipt of a downlink transmission of the first TRP, and one or more other TRPs of the coordinated cluster may provide a second set of resources that the one or more UEs may use to transmit negative acknowledgment (NACK) feedback to indicate that a downlink transmission of the first TRP was lost. The second set of resources may include non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a first user equipment (UE) may monitor and perform blind decoding for a sidelink transmission, such as a first part of sidelink control information (SCI), from a second UE over a configured search space. The first UE may receive signaling indicating an update to the search space via lower layer signaling, such as via a second part of SCI or a sidelink data channel, and may monitor for the sidelink transmission over the updated search space. The update to the search space may indicate a blocking of one or more monitoring occasions from the configured search space, an addition of one or more monitoring occasions to the configured search space, a reactivation of one or more previously blocked monitoring occasions, or a switching from a first search space to a second search space.
